Request: I was thinking maybe the reader is Tony's daughter and her and Bucky have a thing going and then Civil War takes place and the reader is laying there after getting the living Christ beaten out of her by Steve and she watches as Tony gets double teamed by Cap and Bucky and she uses all of her strength to get up and intervene and persuade Bucky to stop

A/N: So I decided to write part one about how Bucky and the reader (along with the others) feel about this situation and how it affects them. I also tried to bring up some emotions. I just wanted some kind of a backstory and not jump right into the part about Tony and the reader fighting Steve and Bucky. Now, I haven't even started to write the second part so it might take a lot of time for me to publish that... Hopefully you'll like this one... It does get sad, though. I may have gone a little too dramatic but... oh well.

Tears streaming down your cheeks, you looked at the man standing right in front of you with his own eyes teary as well. You chewed the inside of your bottom lip, trying not to let out a sound.

The man standing in front of you was none other than Bucky Barnes, Steve's old friend from the 1940s.

Bucky and you had a thing going on. Or had had a thing going on.

The Avengers were choosing sides. Either you chose to go with Steve or stay with Tony. Tony Stark being your father, you decided to stay.

Of course your family relations weren't the only reason why you decided to stay. The Sokovia Accords were something you agreed with. There was always guilt after a citizen or many died because of what you had caused. You knew your father's guilt was next level, though. Sokovia got destroyed because of Ultron and the person who was responsible for Ultron was none other than Tony Stark himself.

You spent so much time trying to make Tony believe it wasn't all his fault. He did try to make the world a better place and, no, it did not work. The Ultron was stopped, though. Ultron wasn't around anymore but that didn't make Tony feel any better.

You spent so many nights in the lab just being there for your father. Especially now that the Sokovia accords had come to the picture and were tearing the Avengers apart, the guilt was eating him alive.

You and Tony had your differences, though. He was around when you were a kid but then after a few years, he wasn't anymore. When you were older and decided to join SHIELD, you met for the first time after many years.

You weren't very close, you never even referred to him as your dad. You were on first name basis. He was more like a teammate than a father although he did try to fix all that. You still had respect for him. You had worked everything out. Everything he did was forgiven but not forgotten. You had a long way of getting that bond back and you weren't even sure if it was never going to be fixed.

The Sokovia Accords had taken a toll on you as well. Tony wasn't the only one suffering. Everyone, even if they never spoke up about it, was hurt and sad about the situation going on.

As you looked at Bucky, seeing him blinking away the tears in his eyes, you realized that you two were probably hurting a lot more than some others involved.

You had grown close to Bucky and you were one of the people who helped him to trust again. You two started off as friends but that lead to something much more than that, yet you never put a label on it.
