A/N: okay... I wanted to do something different from what I've read (probably someone has written a similar backstory to a character) but the A.I.M. is mentioned as a part of the reader's past. When I first thought about it, I didn't remember if A.I.M. had been a part of mcu at some point but then Iron Man 3 came on TV and I was like oh yeaaaaah... That's when I decided to (just) mention Extremis. If something is confusing to you, you can google it (i'm sure it will clear some things up) or ask me, why not! I could try to explain what's going on. Anyways, hope you enjoy second part of Run!

You were sitting in a room surrounded by glass walls, feet propped up on the table with your arms crossed while you looked around the whatever headquarters you were in. A man in a grey suit had dropped by and been a total jerk which had annoyed you even more. People were treating you like a criminal, which you were not. They were holding you in until they were done with Barnes.

You had no idea what they wanted to do with him and it was making you very anxious. You were worried about him. For a few years, he had been on the run and suddenly, he was found after some asshole bombed the UN and framed him. He wasn't guilty and you wished you had some evidence to prove his innocence.

"Could you get your feet off the table?" An agent who you knew as Sharon Carter asked.

"Hey," you began and stood up, facing the blonde woman. "Why don't you get off my back you—"

Steve was quick to place his hand on your upper chest and hold you back, prevent you from walking forward Sharon. You were looking quite furious and by the way you had started to near her, you were ready to attack her. Steve pushed you down on the chair you had previously sat on and you pushed his hands away harshly. "Don't touch me." You glared up at him.

"You keep saying you're not a threat." He said and looked down at you disapprovingly. "I don't know if you realize this but you're having some hard time convincing us with your little act."

"Just because you're some dude with a shield that calls himself Captain doesn't mean—"

"Dude, chill!" The man you knew as the Falcon, or Sam Wilson, exclaimed from beside you.

You turned your angry gaze to him and leaned back on your chair, crossing your arms once again. You stared ahead of you, seeing none other than Tony Stark speaking to the famous Black Widow. She was facing away from you but that head full of red hair is almost impossible not to recognize.

"How long are you going to keep me in here?"

Sharon sighed and shrugged. "We don't know yet."

"Idiots." You muttered under your breath as you rolled your eyes, looking up at a little monitor high up on the wall, showing the whatever tank Bucky was currently in. You saw him glance up at the camera and you saw the sad look in his eyes clearly. He felt defeated, sad and worried but most of all, he felt guilty. He felt guilty for everything he had done as the Winter Soldier. As much as you tried to tell him it wasn't his fault, wasn't him, he wouldn't let it go.

It broke your heart.

You saw some man getting in the room, the psychologist they got just to interview Bucky. You turned to Steve to see his eyes intently on the screen, watching his friend, observing every little movement, every little flicker of emotion Bucky didn't hide. Steve was obviously worried too.

"Are we gonna get food or something?" You asked suddenly, making Sharon look at you with an annoyed expression on her face. "When I'm proven innocent, you're gonna feel real bad if you didn't feed me. I could sue you."
