A/N: Last part, not my best work but I hope it's enjoyable.

Warning(s): angst

"It's just the first pass."

"Yeah."

"Give me some feedback, anything you think of. Shock absorption, lateral movement... Cup holder?"

You laughed as you listened to Tony and Rhodes's conversation. Tony was helping Rhodey walk after the incident and was already thinking of adding some accessories for Rhodey's leg braces.

"You may wanna think about some AC down in—" Rhodey was quickly cut off when he fell to the ground, letting out a groan in pain.

Tony and you both gasped. You rushed over to the two, ready to help him up if needed.

"Let's go. I'll give you a hand." Tony said while Rhodey continued to struggle holding himself up. You felt bad as you listened to the painful yelps and gorans he was making.

"No, no." Rhodey was quick to stop Tony. "Don't help me." He panted as he rolled over to sit down on the ground. He chuckled, looking down at the ground. "138." He said. "138 combat missions. That's how many I've flown."

You looked to your father who had a sad look in his eyes as he watched his friend. You felt sad too. Watching Rhodey struggle wasn't easy but at least he was motivated to get better.

"Every one of them could've been my last, but I flew 'em." He continued and turned his gaze up to Tony again. "Because the fight needed to be fought. It's the same with these Accords."

"Oh, enough with the Accords." You muttered to yourself, quietly enough for only you to hear. You were sick of what those goddamn Accords had done to the team, to every single person in the team. It affected everyone.

"I signed because it was the right thing to do." Rhodey said and now turned to look at you, knowing you had doubted your choice along the way. "And yeah, this sucks. This is, uh... This is a bad beat."

"That it is." You said and looked down at the ground, crossing your arms over your chest.

"But it hasn't changed my mind.."

Tony kept quiet the whole time while Rhodey spoke and didn't comment in any way, he just extended his hand out to Rhodey who took it in his and together they pulled him up from the ground, making Rhodey grunt in pain once again.

"You okay?" Tony was sure to ask.

"Oh, yeah."

There was knocking on the window and all three of you turned towards an elderly man who had a package in hand. "Are you Tony Stank?" He asked.

You stifled a laugh that was bound to come out of you and placed your hand over your mouth, turning away.

"Yes, this is Tony Stank. You're in the right place." Rhodey yelled out to the man with a smug tone in his voice. "Thank you for that!" He said and turned to Tony, getting a glare from him.

"Tony Stank." You snickered.

"Hey, remember, I can still ground you." Tony warned.

"Never, dropping that, by the way." Rhodey added. "'Table for one, Mr Stank! Please, by the bathroom.'" He finished, making both you and Tony burst out laughing.

Walking out of your room, you sighed as you took in the quietness. It was never loud in the compound but it was never as quiet as it was right then. It felt... uncomfortable. Knowing most of the team was away, probably not coming back at all.
