It's been a year of love, laughs, stress, need, comfort, but most of all, happiness. You and Jimin had become closer than you've ever been before which felt almost impossible to achieve since you felt like you were as close as you could possibly get.
During your first two months of dating, you did lots of things together. You visited a zoo where Jimin held your hand almost the entire time, laughing and giggling at how cool all the animals were. You also went to an amusement park where he held your hand tighter than usual as he saw how fast the rides zoomed past. As you neared the rides front of the line, you saw how he laughed nervously to the point where he couldn't hide it anymore and would hug you tightly, releasing her nervousness as you giggled. "AHHHH Jagi!! Let's not get on that ride and I'll buy you the cotton candy!!" He pleaded but you refused. You loved hearing the way he screamed during the rides but mostly because you loved feeling how he found safety in holding your hand as the ride went through.
Your third and fourth month was full of dinner dates, mostly because you didn't have the time to go out the entire day because of school. He took you out to different places to try, reserving all of them ahead of time so you wouldn't be waiting. Sometimes they ended up just being dinner and then going back to your apartment with dessert to go only so that he could help you with your homework. You two would sit in your living room and he would tap his pen on his temple as he read the instructions, humming as he figured out how to explain to you so that you would understand easily. As you worked on them, he would sit there quietly, lip pouting as he thought about random things. Sometimes he would eat a snack and zone out easily for minutes, waiting for you to finish. He even got crafty and asked if you had construction paper, glue, scissors, pens, anything that was crafty. He would make a mess and you would glance at him at times, eyes concentrated and hands steady as he made sure he colored in the lines of his drawing. He looked like a little kid making a craft for his mother, but he ended up always making anything for you to keep. Sometimes they were pop up cards, origami creations, cute letters, even your names decorated sweetly with his own imagination, smiling proudly at his hard concentration and excited to give you his creative gifts. At times he even fell asleep with his head on the coffee table, tired of waiting for so long. It was sweet how he accompanied you with his presence alone, without a word. It didn't matter to him if you didn't pay attention to him. He knew school is important, but he still wanted to be with you, so as long as he was there, silence was nothing to him.
Your fifth, sixth, and seventh month were difficult. You rarely got to see him. The days were full of so much stress and even tears. You were in your last semester of college towards graduation and you had zero time to waste. You spent most of your days at home, working extremely hard on any assignments. Jimin visited much less, fearing he would only be a distraction and only wanting you to do good. Although he tried hard not to text you only to not distract you, he did more and went out to buy you take out, snacks, any kind of food that would fill you up since he knew you skipped meals accidentally from so much work. He would take them to your house without warning and greeted you with a hug and kiss, missing you. You two ate comfortably, allowing a break for you. He felt bad how hard you had to work, but he was proud of you. He would see your exhausted eyes and felt like just holding you comfortingly. He would take your hands and massage them often as he told you how all this would be worth it in the end. He would always be thankful even to see you for an hour, 30 minutes, even just a hi and bye as he dropped off a meal when you had no time for a break and you appreciated it so so much. You wished to give him more of your time, but after this, you would drown him in affection, even if that meant him getting annoyed. You missed him.
Your eight month was perfectly amazing. You graduated and he was there to see you walk up to receive your college diploma with your cap and gown making him incredibly proud of all the days you spent working so hard. At the call of your name, he stood up and cheered loudly, unashamed of all the stares he was getting. He loved you too much to care. His smile was radiant and unmissable, visible all the way up to you as you received your diploma. You were extremely joyful and thankful that he was here for you. At the end of the ceremony, he looked around for you, excited to give you the praise you deserved. He spotted you awkwardly standing there looking for him as every other graduate hugged their loved ones. He smiled, taking in this moment as he approached you with a bouquet of your favorite flowers, beautiful colored balloons chosen for you, and a gift he had gone out of his way to make for days for you to finally have. You saw him and ran to him, him hugging you with the same overjoyed feeling he gave back to you. "Jagiya!! You did it! I'm so proud of you," were the words marked in your memories, forever to keep. He had given you a bracelet he made himself with difficulty but with the help and guidance of a professional bracelet maker. It had your initials and the day of your graduation, along with specifically chosen charms and a crystal that was your favorite color. His smile reflected how hard he had worked on it as he eagerly begged for you to put it on. You did, and smiled at how beautiful it was. How could it be possible to find a guy as perfect as him? At least to you he was. Every little thing he did made you fall for him more and more when you were convinced that it wasn't possible to love him anymore that you did.
Your ninth, tenth, and eleventh month consisted of traveling before taking in the actual career you had worked so endlessly for. You were turning 21, so he took you out to feel free and enjoy what you deserved. He took you to so many places he had planned months ahead, asking around and choosing places he heard were amazing. You went to different counties, met hundreds of amazing people. There were language barriers, but that only made the experiences that much more fun and memorable. You took at least one thing from every place that would remain as a memory. From post cards to snow globes to items crafted by the local people. You two got lost at one point and worry would fill him entirely as he held your hand safely and searched where to go to next. You two would find flowers you had never seen before, enjoy coffee found nowhere else, go on adventures to never be able to forget. Thousands of pictures were taken wether you were aware of it or not. Jimin loved taking pictures of you as you talked to people, asked for directions, ate dinner, took a walk, and even when you laid down after a long day, relaxing on the hotel bed. These days he spent with you in an unknown country left him dreaming of many other days like this to come, without a single worry in the world.
This month, your twelfth month, was spent home, making scrapbooks about your trips, spending days together without separation. All the pictures taken of the trips were printed and you two sat together, placing them into your albums, him writing the date of them on the top of the page and writing a sentence or two under each picture, describing the image's content as you decorated the white linings of the pages. There was a lot of memories taken back as you laughed at a picture of Jimin soaked from head to toe when a storm hit you and you didn't get to the hotel on time. He would get back at you at making fun of a picture he took of you when you lost your shoe at the beach. "You bought me those shoes so jokes on you!" You would say, defending yourself with a helpless smile as Jimins cheeks turned red from laughing so hard. Days like these were pure. Days where all you did was sleep all day, only getting up to eat as you laughed at each other's exhausted faces and messy appearances, but you felt comfortable in your own skin as he proved how much he loved your bare face with kisses and quiet loving stares as you prepared coffee or scrolled through your phone. You'd also spend some days out, enjoying the liberty of being young and curious to find what new things were waiting to be discovered. There was a moment when you guys walked through a park and he spotted a group of orphaned children, out with their caretakers for a day of fun. He went to them and made quick friendships with the children as they trusted his genuine smile. He would push them on the swings or chase them as he pretended to be a monster. He even made the shy girl become a princess as he sang for her from the bottom of the playground, earning giggles from the girl. They all only longed to have parents as great as him and he wished for them to find parents that would love them just as much as he did.
Throughout the 12 months, you and Jimin visited Yuri often and she seemed to grow a little more every time. She was still too young to take out to play with other children in a playground. She had only been living for a year and a half, but she learned to stand. Wobbly, but getting there, strong as ever as she temptingly reached to Jimin, aiming to walk to him but failing as you caught her after her attempts.
Your year celebration was amazing. He took you to the most beautiful scene in the city. Simple things like this were more memorable and intimate than being around so many other people. It was just you two looking out to the twinkling city lights. He recited a poem he wrote for you with nervous words, shivering hands and quivering lips. It was incredibly sweet how even after knowing each other for so long and even after you proving you loved him more than anything, he still found himself getting nervous when he did things like this. You gave him a letter you wrote. You were very passionate with your writing and Jimin even proved it without you asking for him to. You watched him with a soft smile as he read it silently with a smile, but them blinking often as he pressed his lips together. He swallowed a lump in his throat as he tried being tough but you were just too amazing to him. He gave in, holding the paper against his face, covering his expression as you saw his chest rise and fall quickly in quiet whimpers. You smiled as you grabbed his hand in comfort. He put the paper down and pulled you into the most heart warming hug with tears streaming down his face as he sighed, attempting to calm down. He caressed your hair as your felt every breath from his chest come out as a cry and a shaky breath. He felt so lucky to have you. It made him so incredibly emotional to know your words alone could impact him as strongly as it did. There wasn't a single materialistic gift given, but more of words shared that meant more than all the diamonds in the world.
Already a year with him. It has felt like two days. There was still millions of things you had hope in doing together in the future. Sometimes you wished time didn't rush too fast.
