Chapter XV True Emotions

Calm down it will be ok. I repeated to myself in my head trying calm myself. I took a breath taking in his scent trying to calm my nerves but it seemed to only make it worse. It could be like this for much longer we couldn't just go on like this all night. We have to talk eventually and I would rather it be sooner and not later. I felt and heard him take a deep breath and I braced myself for whatever it was he was about to say.

"Kit...Kitten...I'm glad you're back, but there are something's we need to talk about" he says his voice low but shaky

Honestly it was kinda sexy and if it wasn't for the situation I would have told him.

"I know" I say quietly

"Why did you...what did I do...to make you want to leave. To make you just disappear without even a slight heads up or warning" he asks sadly

"Nothing" is all I could say

"I did something or something was wrong. You don't just run off like that, that isn't you. I know you, you would give at least one of us a heads up unless something was terribly wrong" he says

"Maybe you don't know me as well as you think" I say softly

Honestly I didn't mean any harm by saying it I was just saying the first thing that popped into my head. However Shannon didn't take it lightly and he gently set me on the bed, stood up and started walking to the bathroom. He stopped next to the bed post farthest away from me and opened his mouth to say something but quickly changed his mind and walked into the bathroom. He closed the door locked it and everything was silent. I sat on the bed quietly and then I heard crashing I jumped because it scared me. It was glass breaking, I wanted so bad to run to the door and make sure he was ok but I couldn't move. So instead I sat there and cried. I heard quick footsteps coming up the stairs and then the bedroom door flung open. Jared, Tomo, and Constance walked quickly in the door and looked around. Jared saw me and walked over to me at first he just stood there then he cradled me in his arms and I clung to his chest, burying my face in his shirt. Before we left the room I saw Constance quickly yet graciously move across the room to the bathroom door. Jared carried me down the first set of stairs but stopped before going down the second. Tomo came down the hall quickly.

"Your mom said to put her in her room" he says while passing us

Jared continues down the stairs after Tomo and to Constance's room. Once inside he gently laid me down on Constance's bed looked me over with a worried look then pulled up a chair next to the bed. I just stayed the way he set me down, seemingly paralyzed. A few minutes went by and Constance's entered the room. She looked at Jared who nodded then got up and left after he was gone she took his place in the chair.

"Is he alright" are the only words I could says

She slightly nods, "yes he is alright, cut his hand pretty bad when he punched the mirror but besides that he is physically ok" she answers

She looks me over and semi frowns.

"Are you alright dear?"

I shook my head no slowly. It was if I was scared to move a lot or quickly, like if I was to move quickly or a lot I would just turn to ash or dust. I knew I wouldn't but it sure felt like it.

"What happened" she asked kindly concerned

"We just sat there quietly for a long time. Finally he spoke, he asked me what he did to make me do what I did and I answer nothing. He said he ha to of done something wrong because otherwise I would have gave him a warning. He said he knew me and I wouldn't do anything like that. So I answered saying, "maybe you don't know me as well as you think." I didn't mean any harm by saying it I was just saying the first thing that came to mind. After that he sat me down on the bed and went to the bathroom a few seconds later I heard the crashing noise" I say slowly and softly
