I know that in the Walking Dead universe (in the comics, at least) Andrea was keeping track of the days. Apart from that, how would people know what day it is.
Especially before they were at Alexandria, whys everyone celebrating birthdays and Christmas? I mean, for one, what's there to celebrate when everyone's dying around you? I get it if some people get you something for your birthday, but don't expect a whole fucking parade, Tiffany, eXCUSE YOU, YOUR MAJESTY.
In all honesty, though, you wouldn't be having a huge celebration. Carl wouldn't be having intense birthday smut, and I doubt Daryl would either, so horny eleven year olds, BE GONE!
And with Christmas, I don't think anyone would really care. Religion would probably be over with, seeing as it's clear there's no God.
I don't know, just seems a bit unrealistic.
