Ronan's POV

Alex refused to tell me what had happened except that she had just fallen out of the bed. Did she really think that I was going to believe that? The bruises that were covering her torso didn't just happen from falling out of the bed. I carefully helped her up, and the moment I touched her it was like I got electrocuted. I did my best not to pull away from her as I helped her sit on the bed. Squatting in front of her and sighed. "I'll be fine Ronan, I'm tougher then I look." Alex told me and I personally didn't care.

I sat there and couldn't help but feel annoyance in the fact that she was trying to fight everything that I wanted to do for her, Didn't know her full history and knew that she had to be tough, but not with me and I didn't know just how I was going to explain that to her. Hell, I didn't even know what she was, her scent was different then that of a human, but it still held so many human qualities. What is she? I sat there and watched her, she was looking me over and seemed to have spaced out, "Alex, are you listening to me?" I started to yell at her and lightly shaking her, I didn't want to hurt her more then she already was.

"Hm, what, huh, oh yeah. I don't need a doc Ronan, I promise I'll be find." She tried to re-assure me, yet I was having absolutely none of that, she was going to see the doctor even if Had to drag her kicking and screaming like a two year old child.

I rose to my feet and shook my head at her, "Sorry, I'm not taking no for an answer, I don't know what happened Alex, but those bruises are fresh and you say that you just fell out of bed. Impossible. You. Are seeing. The doctor." I told her letting the dominance flow in my tone as I pulled out my cell phone and started to call up Austin. The phone rang maybe three times when he answered. "Yeah boss?" and I groaned, I didn't want him calling me that but at the moment there was other things more important.

"I need a doctor to come to the school." I told him. "Okay Ronan ... But you know it's late and we might.. " Of course I cut him off, I wasn't in the mood for debate, " Yes I know what time it is, does it sound like I care? Alex is covered in bruises and she claims she just fell out of bed," The sound of his voice changed, "Bruises from falling out of bed, that doesn't sound right." At that moment I peered over at Alex and decided that what I had to say next she didn't need to hear, at least not yet, it was only my opinion.

I stood close to the door and dropped my voice, "I agree, there is something more going on here and she's hesitant to tell me. Don't bring a human doctor, there's one in the next town, Byron, call him and have him meet us in the infirmary." I ordered and just as Austin was about to say something. " And stop calling me boss!" Of course he laughed. "Sure Ronan, I'll give Byron a call and text you when he will arrive." I nodded still watching Alex, she seemed to have drifted off again and I swore under my breath. " Very well." and I hung up. I stood there for a moment and listened to Alex, her breathing was normal and her heart rate hadn't increased.

I started to walk closer, " Alex, " I tried to get her attention but nothing. This caused me to worry, "Alex, come on, not again!" I yelled and she still didn't move, what the fuck was going on with her. Finally I started to shake her knowing that I could injure her further, but fuck. "What! For the love of God, stop shaking me!" she finally responded and yelled at me. I furrowed my brow at her, "I have a doctor coming to the school, he's going to meet us in the infirmary, and yes you are going to see him." I wasn't about to give her an option to the matter so I picked her up bridal style, taking care not to jar her but I couldn't help but laugh at the expression on her face. "Apparently." she muttered at me as we headed out of her flat-room.
