“Jealousy isn’t a good look for him,” I muttered to Scott as we sat up in his room. I plucked a grape from its step before popping it in my mouth and chewing it slowly, “I never liked grapes before I changed you know,” I stated looking over at Scott. He nodded his head and took a grape also before chewing it fully,

“Yeah? I never liked Chicken nuggets before, but now I love them” I slapped Scott’s arm slightly

“You crazy! How could you not like Chicken nuggets?” I asked, looking at him in bewilderment. Scott just chuckled and shrugged his shoulders

“I don’t know… they tasted either too greasy or too breaded,” He made a face and I just chuckled in amusement.

“Whatever, you’re still weird… So what’s the plan for today, and when do you start school?” Scott shrugged once more

“Whatever you want to do I guess… and it’s August, we don’t start up again till September.” I nodded my head and thought over some plans,

“Well… we could go to the mall? I haven’t been there for a while and it would get us out of the house, also help get my mind off things.” Scott smiled at me sympathetically before nodding his head,

“Okay! To the mall we go!” He stood up off his bed and yanked me up with him, “Get dressed! We have a busy day today!” I smiled at the beta and was thankful we had gotten as close as we had.

“Scott this isn’t funny anymore.” I fake pouted, but couldn’t hide my smile as Scott put on a ‘I run with werewolf’s’ Shirt with a picture of Bella from twilight in the background .

“I don’t know… I think it suits me.”

“Scott that’s a girls shirt, we’re in the women’s section,” I pointed a finger at the sign that said ‘Women’ and stifled a laugh as Scott blushed slightly.

“It still suits me.” He mumbled as he pulled off the shirt and pulled his original one back on,

“Yea, it did… now let’s go find something you could actually wear in public,” Scott jokingly rolled his eyes as I tugged him to a different part of the store.

-

“Why don’t we go get you some more padding and lacrosse stuff?” I offered Scott, after about an hour of shopping, “That way you can be ready for tryouts when school starts? Not that you won’t make it… you kind of have a huge advantage.” Scott smiled and laughed with me,

“Yeah that’s a good idea… you don’t mind, do you?” I just gave Scott a look,

“You’ve been shopping with me for over an hour; I think I owe you a little break.”  He just smiled before nodding his head gratefully and taking off to the sports store,

“Good to see you got yourself a lap dog.” I turned around and saw Cora standing behind me, a shopping bag in one hand and a cellphone in the other,

“He’s not my lapdog you dumb bitch.” I snapped back, not up for dealing with her today. I go to walk away but she catches my arm, I turn around automatically and take a swing at her face. Feeling satisfied when I feel the impact of my fist to her face, she let out a small whimper before closing her eyes and taking a few breaths,

“Okay… I deserved that. But I’m here for  a reason,” I rolled my eyes before shaking her hand off my arm,

“And that would be…?”  I asked, my patients growing thinner and thinner by the second.
