**Disclaimer** I do not own Teen Wolf, if I haven't stated that fact enough times already.

Stiles and I crept into the back of the prisoner transport van and sat down on the metal bench across from Jackson. I had made a few sandwiches at my house for us and Jackson to eat. Stiles had stuffed them in his backpack to hide them from any suspicions.

"Hey, we brought you some - "

"Let me out now!" Jackson yelled, cutting off Stiles. Luckily he couldn't attack either of us because he was chained onto the seat. I was really impressed at how well Stiles' idea was working out.

"You know what," started Stiles, annoyed with Jackson's behavior. "I put those pants on you, alright buddy? One leg at a time. Being all up close and personal with your junk, wasn't exactly a highlight of my day, so don't think this is fun for me either. You know we're actually doing you a favor?"

Jackson glared and tugged on the chains as Stiles spoke. I was glad that Stiles had kept me away form Jackson until he'd at least got some pants on. Him being in the nude was making me uncomfortable, especially after having to share a very small backseat with him.

"This is doing me a favor?" Jackson snarled.

"Yes," said Stiles. "You-you're killing people--to death. Yeah. Not to mention you keep going around paralyzing people. And, until we can figure out how to stop you, you're gonna stay in here. Sorry,"

Stiles pulled two of the sandwiches I had made out of his bag and held them up to Jackson.

"Now, do you want the ham and cheese or the turkey club?"

Jackson went completely livid. I scooted closer to Stiles as he was beginning to scare me slightly. The kid turns into a freaking killing lizard who uses his freaky lizard poison to paralyze people from the neck down. I'd say that's a pretty good reason to be afraid of him.

"You actually think my parents won't be looking for me?"

Stiles tossed him the ham and cheese, pulling out Jackson's phone. "Not if they don't think anything's wrong." He held up the phone so Jackson could see the text Stiles had sent to his parents. "Yeah,"

It read: Stayed at a friend's house last night. Everything fine. Love you. To me, it kind of sounded like overkill, but I wasn't going to state my opinion.

I held onto the edge of Stiles' jacket as he explained to Jackson just what exactly he tends to transform into every now and then. Jackson kept glancing at me and every time I would shrink further into Stiles' side. He just makes me nervous, and Stiles is about the only one I feel safe around anymore. The people I thought I could trust were lying to me, and the one person I'd been pushing away was the one I could trust most. Losing your memory really tends to interfere with your  character judgment.

Right now I wanted nothing more than to get out of this van and away from all of this supernatural drama. I thought I could handle it. I thought I was ready, but I can't do this. I can't just accept that everything bad that's happened in my life is because of werewolves and other mythical legends. It's not supposed to make any sense, yet it does.

"Scales?" Jackson questioned, after Stiles gave a brief description of what the kanima looks like. "Like a fish?"

"Nah, more like a reptile," said Stiles. "And your claws have this liquid that paralyzes people, and you have a tail,"

"I have a tail?" Jackson seemed to be one hundred percent done with all of this.

"Yeah, you have a tail," said Stiles, holding in a chuckle.
