"Graduation time is here ladies and gentlemen. Make sure you pay your senior fees or you will not be walking across that stage. Have a bless day at County High School," the principle spoke on the announcement.

Chelsea

Well it's May and graduation is in a week. After that I don't have to come back. That "break" with me and Shawn is still going on. I know we broken up for good but I'm still hurt by it.

"Chelsea Bolden they need you in the principle office," Ms. Smith said.

I got up and walked to his office.

"Goodmorning Ms. Bolden," the principle greeted me.

"Morning," I said back to him.

"This here is Devin and he's a new student. I need you to show Devin to his classes and around the school and things like that," he said.

I looked over at the boy and he just smiled.

"Ok come on," I said walking out the office.

"So what's your name beautiful?" he asked and I blushed.

"Chelsea," I said looking at my feet.

"Why you hang your head so low?" he asked picking it up.

"Just personal stuff. I'm dealing with it though," I said looking at him.

"Iight babygirl."

"Here is your first block. Lets go in," I said knocking on the door.

"Goodmorning Ms. Gully this is Devin and he's going to be in your first block," I said looking around the class. I spotted Shawn  and instantly turned my head.

"Nice to meet you ma'am," he shook her hand.

We went to all his classes and I showed him the gym and cafeteria.

"Well those are all your classes. I hope you have fun on your last year here," I said turning around.

"Aye."

"Huh."

"Can I get your number?" he asked.

"Sure 1-442-658-3288. You got it?"

"Yea thanks babygirl," he said with a big smile.

"No problem I got to go now," I said turning back around.

I just so happen to see Shawn coming out the bathroom.

"Hi I'm not invisible I'm still here you know," I said behind her.

"Yea see but we not together I dont have to acknowledge you," she said plainly.

"Oh forreal all good," I said walking into my 3rd block.

I went to get Steak and Shake during lunch and decided not to come back to school.

Unknown: hey babygirl

Me:who this

Unknown: Devin

Me: oh hey

Devin: where you at?

Me: I decided to leave since I dont have a 4th block

Devin: you got a ride?

Me: yep

Devin: gone come scoop me

Me: I'll be there in 5 minutes

Devin: Iight

I went back to the school and he came out.

"Hey buddy," I said when he got in the car.

"Wassup," Devin said.

"Where you wanna go?" I asked him.

"Um......mall?" he asked.

"Mall it is," I said pulling off.

"So you from here?"

"Yea born and raised," I said driving.

"That's cool. I just moved here from Cali," he said looking out the window.

"How did you get from Cali to Mississippi?"

"I moved here with my dad."

We pulled up to the mall and went in Forever 21.

"Hey Devin, you think I look cute in this?" I asked holding the dress up to my body.

"Hell yeah girl," he said smiling.

"You think so. Ima go try it on," I said walking into the dressing room.

"Woah you look sexy," he said as I looked at the dress in the mirror.

"Ima get it."

I took the dress off and paid for it. We went to a couple more stores then to eat.

"Chick-fil-A got the best chicken tenders," I said stuffing my face.

"I like a girl that know how to eat," he said staring at me.

I just laughed.

"Where to now?" I asked.

"We can go to my house I got WiFi and Netflix," Devin said.

"Iight."

We pulled up at his house in 10 minutes. He dont stay that far from me.

"Come on in," he said unlocking the door.

"This is nice."

"Come on TV over here," he said leading the way.

We was watching Love and Basketball on Netflix. I was leaning my head on his chest. The moment seem so right like I was where I was suppose to be. I looked at him so see if he was paying attention. He looked back at me and I reached up and kissed him.
