August comes sooner than expected. Soon my days are packed again with books, notebooks and stress. That is how my future will look anyway.

Today, however, is the first day and the university wants to give the students some space and time to get to know each other.

Coffee in hand, I stand waiting at the bus station for the bus to arrive and take me out of town. 'Scarlet, annyeong,' a familiar happy voice greets me. I turn around and see Jin standing next to me, his smile radiant.

'Jin, annyeong,' I greet him back.

My eyes take him in, because he seems different. Suddenly it hits me why. His hair is messy, he is wearing a black jacket, from which a couple of metal chains hang, on top of a white shirt and in combination with black jeans. A necklace with a silver pendant adorns his neck. Over all he looks like a bad boy. It suits him somehow, though.

'You look... different.' My eyes do not leave his stature.

He chuckles at my remark. 'Never judge a book by its cover.'

'You look good, though.' I can basically punch myself in the face after I realize what I just said.

'Thanks, you too.' Thank goodness he plays it cool and friendly. I do not want him to think I am interested in him in that kind of way. Being friends is all I want, nothing more and nothing less.

The bus soon arrives and takes us to Seongsan University. The ride is not long, maybe twenty minutes or so. Jin sits next to me, reading something on his phone and I listen to music as I stare out the window.

It is fascinating to see how the landscape changes. The city transforms to nature and then into a mix of both.

The campus is a combination of tall white buildings that have lots of windows in them so the sun is the main source of light and green luscious parks. I am pretty confident there is not a place like this anywhere else.

'Looks like we're here,' Jin remarks as the bus comes to a halt at the nearest bus stand. 'Follow me, please. You don't want to get lost, do you?' His voice is playful, leaving me with the thought mom may have instructed him to stay by my side this very first day. Can she not meddle in my life for once? Besides, how will I ever become any good at navigating if I constantly have my own guide?

Walking side by side, we make our way to the campus. We have not even passed the gates when a group of boys runs up to us and hug Jin. I see two familiar faces, Namjoon and Jungkook. Yoongi seems to keep a little bit of distance from them.

As soon as he realizes I am here, he turns his head away.

'Guys, easy. She will think we're weird,' Jin says as he tries to escape from the others.

'I think she'll manage.' Namjoon disregards Jin's words with a smirk and puts a hand on my shoulder.

Jungkook nods in agreement and wraps his arm around my shoulders, subtly forcing Namjoon's hand off of me.

Uncomfortable by all the attention, I take a step forwards so that nobody is touching me.

'I hope I do,' I mumble softly, but nobody seems to have heard it. Which is good, because if they heard, I would be in for a whole lot more and that is something I do not want at all.

Noticing my awkwardness with the whole situation, Jin speaks up. 'Scarlet, these here are Hoseok, Jimin and Taehyung.' He gestures to the three for me unknown boys in front of us.

The boy with orange hair, which makes me think of oranges and is apparently named Taehyung, holds his hand up as a manner of greeting.

Next to him, the smaller boy named Jimin flashes a smile as he waves at me. Despite his appearance that makes him look like trouble, he seems a total sweetheart when he beams.
