I spin around to see Sans standing in the doorway. He stares at me, unsure of what to do for a second.

He then grabs the knife from my hand, his eye glowing, and blasts it to tiny pieces.

"What are you doing?" he growls at me, panting heavily.

I open my mouth, but no words form.

He watches me, then picks me up and places me on my bed. He sits next to me.

I can't keep pretending forever.

Tears fall from my eyes. Once they've started it's hard to stop. I bury my face in Sans' jacket and cry until I can't breath.

He wraps his arms around me.

I look up into his eyes. They're full of concern and worry.

"I'm sorry Sans," I tell him, tears still falling.

"I can't accept your apology until you tell me why you're giving it to me," he says, looking down onto me.

I shake his arms off me and hug my knees. I don't know how to explain anything.

"Did you know that if I'm the one to kill myself, I'll never be able to reset again?" I finally say, vision blurred with unshed tears. "It's what you fear waking up to every morning, isn't it Sans?"

"Frisk, I-"

"I know you do, don't try and hide it."

I wipe my eyes with my sleeve, but tears still fall.

"The truth is Sans, I fear waking up to it every morning too."

"What?"

"I never want to reset, I never want to hurt you, ever. But temptation is strong Sans."

"You don't need-"

"The only way to ensure that I'll never reset you, is if I'm no longer here. You guys are all better off without me."

"Frisk, no one wants you to reset-"

"You don't know that! You don't know that!"

"Who wants you to reset?"

"There are many people out there that want me to reset."

Sans places his hand on mine. I lift my head, startled.

"Frisk, you can't ever leave us. We need you."

"No. No one needs me Sans. I know that."

"Frisk just-"

"Don't try and talk me out of it, I made up-"

He places his finger to my lips, silencing my flow of words.

I look up into his eyes. He's gazing at me differently than usual.

"You need to let me speak Frisk."

I slowly nod my head, and he lowers his finger. I look back down at my knees, starting to feel tears forming again.

"Everyone of us will miss you if you do this."

"But I'm not anyone important."

He lifts my chin up to face him. I feel the heat rushing to my cheeks.

"You are the most important person to any of us."

"You can't think that's possible."

I whisper these words, blinking more tears from my eyes.
