First day in the court of appeal

"And the lawyer for the accused" asked the Judge, on the day of the first hearing, after the introduction, "i am" said Maya coming into the court, dressed like Barrister do, with her hair loose under her wig, she walked smartly but majestically to the seat provided for the barristers admist murmurs from the audience.

Today Kaseem was not brought in cause Maya has to convince the court to let the case go on,

" your honour, am designated as Maya T. I. G, i am the lawyer of the accused" she added, bowed and sat down.

"On the 14th of January 2015,Kaseem Omar Ganati was arrested for the suspect murder of the former first lady Laila Naseem Alhassan, on the 27th of August 2016 the accuse confessed in the high court of law to have slice the late Mrs Naseem 15 times resulting in her dead, on the 25th January 2026, the case was asked for an appeal trial and today we proceed" read the judge

"Your honour my client, who was accused and is said to have confessed to the murder only confessed due him being tired of the court trial, and an advise to do so by a prison mate" said Maya

"What are your allegations" asked the judge

"The prison mate who advised him to do such, was arrested on the 18th month of my client's trial which is equivalent to 20th july 2016 and was realised a week after my client was convicted, that is on the 3rd of September 2016, all in all the guy was there for the total days of 45, a month and 2 weeks, the prison mate in person of Moses Geshi, who was born and raised in lagos as a Christian....... "Objection your Honour, Miss T. I. G is trying to lure us unto another man's case" said a lawyer of Naseem Alhassan standing on his feet, "objection overruled" said the judge, "thank you your Honour, after going through his arrest case for official purpose, surprisingly none was documented, but i still went ahead and got the two policemen who brought him in that very night and one of them is here for questioning" , "bring him in barrister" said the judge,

"Mr. Amos, where were you in the night around 9 pm to 11pm on the 7th of june 2016" asked Maya

"I was on duty that night, and 5 minutes to 9 i received an emergency call on the station phone and had to go out" he said

"What was the emergency" she asked

"That some drunkards are causing trouble in a nearby club"

"When you reached the area, was there really a fight"

"There was a fight outside the club, but on reaching there everyone ran off except for one who seems to be out of his mind due to what he drank"

"When you arrested him why was he placed in the same prison room with a murder suspect, we all know murder suspects not only pose dangers to us both also to other prison members as well, why put a drunkard there, which is against the laws governing the prison"
