Chapter 27

Today in the court of law, Erica displayed another crucial witness of hers, who happens to be Thahani's husband, to back it up, Thahani's writings to Maya was displayed and again the video coverage of Thahani and him with a little bundled carried by him whom every one knows to be a baby, in the reception, the lift and entering the same suit Thahani was found dead, there Saneer revealed to the court whom he saw on his wife's dead body with a knife and quickly turned to go, she was a female, looking heavily pregnant, and there the video of the lady in the reception was played, she was all in black, and her face was covered, only her eyes could be seen, she was seen also in the reception, they met with a guy, the two went in to the lift, and then appeared to be by the same suite, the woman entered and the guy stood guard outside, further more Erica mentioned that, that is the same guy, everyone thought to be Maya's lover boy who eloped, she further stated that the guy eloped but some days later he mysteriously died of stomach ache, there Erica called a woman who was his mother to testify, Erica mentioned she suspected it to be poisoning thou she had no  logical proof for that, again the case was adjourned till next week.

Maya who kept on replaying the video of the woman at home, and was zooming it, she  talked to no one, after tucking her two little angels, late in the night she went into her closet changed into a black overall, bunned her hair and put on a black hankee to cover her nose mouth down to her chin, leaving only her eyes eyebrows open,

on coming out she met with Erica who was dressed casually, the two sneaked out and reached the premises, waiting outside was edward in a black grand Cherokee, Erica opened the booth of the car and inside opened another huge compartment, Maya looked around and said "you better let me out in Five" she warned, "quit whinning and get in" said Erica pushing her into the compartment, "five Erica i mean it" she stressed, as Erica closed the compartment and the booth, she then entered the car and Edward drove to the gate, as expected the two armed men stationed by the gate by the authority to see Maya doesn't leave stopped them, "just going out for some date, couples outing" said Erica to the one who peeped, "OK but can i check your Booth please, just to be sure" said the other politely, "sure" said Edward opened the booth for them and soon were on their way

Maya was brought out and was seated at the owners corner, "are you sure" asked Erica,
   "Those shoes look familiar, i have the exact type" said Maya,
  "Hope you know what you are doing" said Edward,
"Am positive" said Maya rolling her eyes

Kaseem and Hidaya were up in there room , when the loud sound of the T.V, "i thought you switched it off" said Kaseem as he flipped through a magazine,
   "I did" she said folding some clothes,
"Then go down and do it again"
    "Why do i get to do it, you go down and switch it off, cause am done" she said after a hiss, suddenly the T.V channel was changed to a music station, the two exchange looks and decided to go down together, on coming downstairs, they saw a black figure on a Sofa, only the light in the room was from the phone the figure was using and the dim light from the T.V , which was shining only the halve masked face,

"Don't tell me you sleep early, i mean it's just past 12" said the figure, still typing on the phone, Kaseem switched on the lights and seated on the sofa was no other than Maya,

"Am calling the police" shrieked Hidaya and turned to go upstairs, but her way was blocked by Erica, "who are you" she yelped,
   "Your worst night mare" said Erica, pushing her to sit down on a nearby sofa,
   "What's going on here, Erica and Maya, at this time of the night" asked Kaseem,
   "Sit down Kaseem and listen" said Erica, Kaseem sat down, then Erica turned to Maya, "Hidaya where were you around 5pm the day Thahani was murdered",
   "What" asked Hidaya taken aback,
"Where were you" stressed Maya
    "I went out with a friend, Kaseem knew about that" said Hidaya, trying to compose herself,
  "You were at the Crowns hotel, you murdered Thahani" said Maya, "how dare you" yelled Hidaya,
   "Maya what is wrong with you, you can't just come in here and start accusing Hidaya of some such things" Said Kaseem, Erica pressed the DVD button and the clip of the female figure and the guy in the hotel were seen, This time around it was zoomed and clearly that was Hidaya, "that is false" said Hidaya, Kaseem who was taken aback also yelled "shut up",
     "I didn't kill her"
"What were you doing there" asked Kaseem sounding hurt,
  "The question is why did you kill Thahani with my Knife to frame me" asked Maya whose eyes was now red,
   "I didn.... "stop lieing" yelled Kaseem smashing a flower vase,
   "I was jealous of Maya, i had to do something to take her out of the picture" said Hidaya,
   "By killing innocent Thahani" asked Kaseem panting,
   "It was the only way i could frame Maya, you were all about her, everything was about her and i hated sharing you with her",
