Ch. 5

Sophia's POV- November 2015

I pulled out my ringing phone from my purse and looked at the screen, MOM

"Hey mom" I greeted.

"Hi darling, where are you?"

"I'm getting FroYo" I replied.

"Ok, I was just worried because you usually are home before me"

"I'm alright mom, just getting some FroYo" I assured her.

"Alright, don't be out too late"

I glanced up and saw a tall figure making his way inside. His eyes darted all around and I smiled when they landed on me.

"I won't, see you in a bit" I told her.

"Ok, bye. Love you"

"Love you too, bye" I said right before ending the call. 

The tall figure now stood in front of me, and I had to admit this; he looked good in a suit.

"Hey"

"Hi" I greeted.

He offered me a smile as I stood up.

"Should we get in line?"

I nodded and he followed me to the line. There was no line, but I handed him a cup.

"Tired?" I asked.

I filled my cup up with strawberry and mango FroYo and watched as he filled his cup with strawberry and chocolate FroYo.

"A little"

I nodded, and smiled.

"Are you here for the weekend?"

"Yes, I'm usually home every other weekend but school had kept me incredibly busy" I replied as I placed a few gummy bears on my yogurt.

He nodded slowly as he filled his cup up with gummy bears and M&M's.

"Are you in um"

He paused and looked at me.

"University?"

"Yes, I go to UCLA" I answered.

I watched as he placed a bit of fruit on his yogurt and turned to look at me as I placed some almond pieces on the yogurt.

"Done?" I asked.

"Yeah"

"I'm paying" I told him.

He looked at me and I smiled as he slowly shook his head.

"I can pay"

"Nonsense, I got it" I said.

I took his cup and placed it next to mine on the weight calculator. I pulled out my credit card as he took the time to pull his wallet from his pocket.

"Use mine instead"

The cashier looked at Adrian and then at me.

"Uh"

 I smiled as he took my credit card and swiped it. The cashier handed me back my card along with my receipt.

"Have a nice day"

"Thanks you too" I told him.

He nodded and I looked at Adrian as the cashier asked him what color spoon he wanted.

"Surprise me"

The cashier handed him a green spoon, and turned to me.

"I'll take a yellow one" I said.
