Sophia's POV- July 2016

I frowned a bit as Adrian groaned a bit as he pulled out the gauze out of his mouth. It had been at least four hours since we got back from the dentist, and he had taken a nap. He ate some soup after he woke up, and watched tv for about a half hour. The anesthetics were wearing off though, so he was hurting.

"Should it still be bleeding?"

I looked at his brother, Mario and nodded.

"Yeah, the bleeding should stop within 24 hours" I answered.

Adrian gagged a bit and made a face probably because he tasted the blood.

"Rinse gently" I told him as I handed him the cup with warm salt water.

Adrian had two of his wisdom teeth removed, so the right side of his face was a bit swollen.

"I'm pretty sure you're running a fever" I stated.

I gently touched his face and turned to Mario.

"Can you get me an icepack?" I asked.

He nodded and left the room.

"Come on, let's get you to bed" I said.

I gently touched his cheek and smiled as he leaned against my hand. He put his arm over my shoulder, and I held him up as we made our way back to his room. Once he was sitting down, I handed him two ibuprofen capsules. Just as he was taking them, his brother walked into the room.

"Are you sure you can handle him on your own?"

I smiled and nodded.

"Yes, you don't need to cancel your plans. He's fine, a little drowsy but fine" I assured him.

He looked at Adrian and nodded slowly.

"If you need anything or if something happens"

"I will call you" I finished for him as I turned my attention back to Adrian.

I helped him prop himself against the pillows and handed him his water.

"Do you need anything?"

I shook my head.

"Go out with your girlfriend. I'll call you if he needs anything" I told him.

Adrian slowly got the icepack and placed it on his cheek.

"He's going to fall asleep in a bit" I said.

"Alright, let me know if you need anything"

He frowned when Adrian shooed him away with his hand.

"See, he's fine" I stated.

"Alright, bye"

"Bye" I called out.

I looked at Adrian and smiled.

"Feeling better?" I asked as I pushed his hair back.

He closed his eyes and hummed.

"Let me change, so we can cuddle? How does that sound?" I suggested.

He nodded and I stood up. I quickly changed and climbed up on the bed.

"You have to be propped up" I said.

He made a face and I kissed his cheek. I smiled and kissed his forehead earning a groan from him.

"I will give you a peck, but only if you promise you won't try to deepen it" I told him.

He just stared at me and I laughed as he slowly shook his head.

"Well then no kisses for you" I stated.

I raised an eyebrow as he frowned.

"You're so needy" I admitted.

I smiled and gently pecked his lips.

"You're lucky I love you" I replied as he cuddled up against me.

I made sure the icepack was against his cheek before turning my attention to the TV. He watched New Girl with me for a bit before shifting his face and pressing his forehead against my neck.

"Does your head hurt?" I asked.

He nodded slowly and I muted the TV.

"I don't mind reading the captions, take a nap" I told him.

I paid no attention to the TV, and tried to focus on his breathing.

"Come on, sit up" I said after a bit.

I patted his back and watched as he slowly sat up. I climbed off the bed and adjusted the pillows so he was comfortable.

"Give me a second" I stated.

I ignored the confused look I got from him as I straddled him.

"You lean back and close your eyes" I instructed him.

He did as told flinched when my hands touched his temple. I applied pressure against his temple and watched as his mouth opened a bit.

"Feels good?" I asked.

I got a light "Uh-huh" from him, so I continued doing what I was doing.

"I don't know any Swedish besides the phrases you tell me often" I began saying.

He slowly opened his eyes, and I did my best to avoid eye contact. When he closed his eyes I continued my story.

"There's a bit of a language barrier, but I'm having a really good time" I admitted.

I shrugged lightly.

"The girls at the gym have the biggest crush on you, and it's the cutest thing ever" I stated.

The youngest gymnast there was five years old, and the oldest was thirteen.

"One of them asked me if I was going to be on the Olympic team" I told him.

He opened his eyes and looked at me.

"If she has asked me that three years ago, I would have probably cried" I admitted.

I smiled and shrugged at him.

"I'm just happy that I was able to compete again. Miss Val believed in me, and I haven't let her down" I replied.

I pushed his hair back.

"I know you hate my triple series" I said.

He slowly shook his head.

"You don't hate it?" I asked.

"No"

He got one of my hands and kissed my knuckles.

"I worry"

"As sad as it sounds, it reminds me of my dad" I told him.

I let go of his hand and gently ran my hand through his hair.

"You know he could never sit still to watch me compete. I never once saw him before I competed, but I always knew he was there. When the season started I would look for an empty seat and pretend my dad was in the hallway freaking out as he ate a hot dog" I stated.

I smiled as I looked at him.

"You know this is the first time I talk about him, and didn't cry" I admitted.

He offered me a smile, and immediately flinched. I reached for the icepack and gently placed it on his cheek.

"Just relax, I'll be here when you wake up" I said.

He drowsily blinked and placed one hand on my hip. I smiled as he lazily brushed his thumb against my hip. Once I made sure he was asleep, I pulled myself up and got off of the bed. I pulled the blanket up to his chest and looked at him. I could literally stare at his face all day, and never get tired of looking.
