Sophia's POV- December 2015

I was almost done combing my hair when I heard three quick knocks on the door. Three quick knocks meant Jackie was about to pee her pants and she had left her stuff in front of the door.

"Coming" I called out.

I set my comb on my desk and made my way to the door. I opened the door and smiled when I noticed Jackie's backpack wasn't the only thing waiting for me at the door. She should have knocked four times to at least warn me.

"Hey" I greeted.

Adrian offered me a smile as he leaned down and pecked my lips.

"Hey"

"Come on in" I told him as I grabbed Jackie's backpack and stepped back.

He walked into the room and closed the door behind him. While he did that I set Jackie's stuff on the floor next to her desk.

"I tried calling, but your phone is off"

I turned towards my desk and turned my phone on.

"Sorry about that it died on me a little before practice. I put it to charge before I took a shower" I explained.

I looked at him and smiled.

"You can sit down" I said.

He took a seat on my bed and looked at me. Just as he was about to speak, the door opened and Jackie walked into the room.

"You two are still here"

I raised an eyebrow.

"Where would we be?" I asked.

"I thought you two were going to go eat"

"I promised you we'd eat dinner together today" I told her.

She smiled and shrugged.

"Next time"

I looked at Adrian who glanced at Jackie before looking at me.

"She can come with us"

His cheeks turned a faint pink.

"That's if you want to go eat, I kind of came unannounced"

I smiled, as if I would turn him down.

"What do you say?" I asked her.

"Ok, can we get tacos?"

I turned to look at Adrian who shrugged.

"Tacos sound good"

"Let me put on shoes" I said.

I took a seat next to Adrian and put on my socks. I stood up and squat down to pull a pair of shoes from under the bed. I put on my converse and tied them before standing up.

"How was practice?"

I made a face and reached for my jacket.

"Coach wants me to change my beam dismount" I told her.

I don't know why, but for some reason I was not sticking my double pike dismount. That dismount used to come naturally to me, and it was frustrating that my body wasn't cooperating with me. Gymnastics used to come naturally to me, but after my surgery I started to experience falls, stumbles, and even wobbles.

"I'm sure you'll get it, don't get frustrated"

I nodded and smiled.

"Ready?" I asked.

Jackie nodded and opened the door. I looked at Adrian when he reached for my hand. I let go of his hand and pulled him closer. I pretended not to see the smile on his face when I put his arm over my shoulder and held onto his hand.

"We can take my car"

We walked down the stairs and made our way to the parking lot.

"How were finals?"

"Long" I admitted.

He chuckled.

"Well you're done now, so let's go eat those tacos"

I smiled as he pulled me closer and kissed my cheek.

"Rub her freedom in my face"

I laughed and looked at Jackie.

"You're going to ace that final, I taught you everything you know" I said.

She pouted.

"I can't exactly bring you to my final"

Adrian chuckled.

"You can't but we will fit as much as you need into that index card" I stated.

"You're the best, if you don't ask her to be your girlfriend I will"

The look on Adrian's face was priceless.

"What? I can appreciate a good looking people"

A/N: Baseball season is just around the corner guys! Do you know how happy I am about this? Because from the looks of it, hockey won't stick around past mid April in LA. I say this in the nicest way possible about the LA Kings. Maybe they can use the long offseason to learn how to score?
