Ch. 20

Sophia's POV- March 2016

I took a seat next to Adrian and he chuckled when he noticed I brought the whole pie with me.

"There's no need to dirty a dish, we're going to eat it all anyway"

"That was my exact though" I said.

He opened his mouth as I offered him a piece. I smiled as he hummed while he chewed.

"Why have I never tried your pie?"

"You've never asked" I answered before I ate some pie.

He sat up a bit and took the pie from me as well as the fork.

"It's really good, and I'm not much of a dessert kind of guy"

I gasped.

"Take that back, everyone likes dessert" I said.

He smiled as he chewed on the forkful of pie he had just put in his mouth.

"Soph, if you could eat sweets for breakfast you would"

I had a really big sweet tooth.

"That's true" I admitted.

"You probably have eaten pie for breakfast"

I smiled.

"You'll keep that secret, right?" I asked.

He winked.

"Of course"

He smiled as he pressed his lips against mine.

"So what exactly is going on next week?"

"You're going to meet Mariana" I replied.

"What's she like?"

"She's tall and blonde, down right stunning" I answered.

He shrugged.

"Impossible, no one is as beautiful as you"

He kissed my lips and frowned when I didn't respond.

"You know I only have eyes for you, right?"

I shrugged and looked at him as he sat up. 

"I've never cooked dinner for anyone except Val"

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah, they've never been as important as you"

I smiled as he reached for my hands and let out a light chuckle.

"I was attracted to you the minute I first laid eyes on you"

He looked down at our intertwined hands.

"You were at the Home opener"

It's true, I was at that game.

"Jaclyn wasn't with you though, you were sitting by yourself"

I did sit by myself.

"You were mouthing along to the song that was being played while eating a box of Sweet Tarts"

He nodded and smiled at bit.

"I tried to stop looking at you because one of the guys had noticed"

"Who?" I asked.

"Jonny"

Jonny Brodzinski was one of the first guys who introduced himself when I first started dating Adrian. He literally had the biggest grin on his face when Adrian said I was his girlfriend.
