Adrian's POV- November 2015

"Doc's daughter is here and she's stunning"

"Which Doc?"

"Dina"

I buttoned my pants and reached for my phone.

"You look like you're in a hurry"

I looked at Biz.

"I got a date" I told him.

He grinned.

"She called you?"

"No, I bumped into her at the grocery store. She was actually at Wednesday's game and we hung out after" I replied.

"Well have fun, hope you get laid"

I chuckled and shrugged. I got to admit, it hurt my ego that she had my number for a month and she didn't call. She was the first girl that I was intimidated by and the first to ever turn me down. It was something I was not used to doing, but I didn't mind because the more I learned about her the more I was attracted to her.

"Bye guys" I called out.

I looked at the screen of my phone and saw I had 3 unread texts from Sophia. I made my way out of the locker room and just as I turned to the hallway I heard a light throat clear.

"Hello Adrian"

I looked up from my phone and felt my throat get dry when I noticed one of the team doctor's, Dina had her hand on Sophia's shoulder.

"I see you're taking my daughter out on a date"

I looked at Sophia and then at Dina.

"Your daughter?" I asked.

"I told you I had a daughter Adrian"

"I didn't know she was your daughter" I admitted.

Dina smiled.

"So what exactly are you two doing tonight?"

Sophia looked at her mom.

"We're going out for dinner"

Dina nodded.

"Alright, I expect you back tonight"

"Of course" I said as Sophia handed her mom a set of car keys.

"You almost got away with it Soph"

Sophia rolled her eyes.

"I was going to eventually tell you"

Dina hummed and kissed her daughter's cheek.

"Have fun"

Sophia grabbed her mom's arm.

"Don't tell Enzo"

Dina laughed.

"Your secret is safe with me darling, have fun"

I nodded and watched as she left. Once she was out of sight I turned to Sophia.

"You could have mentioned you were the daughter of one of the team doctors" I stated.

"You were nervous as it was, I figured I'd tell you eventually"

I let out a deep breath.

"That's ok?"

"It just caught me off guard" I replied.

She smiled.

"Sorry about that"

I honestly should have put two and two together. Some of the guys told me Dina's daughter was a retired Elite gymnast who's career ended after she injured her left arm. Sophia had told me she was on the gymnastics team at UCLA. Now that I thought of it, Sophia did look a lot like her mom.

"It's ok, so are you ready?" I asked.

"Yes"

I nodded.

"You look beautiful" I told her.

"You look beautiful" I told her

She smiled.

"Thank you, I like your shirt"

I had worn this button down because she told me her favorite color was purple.

"Should you be wearing heels?" I asked.

"No"

I chuckled and nodded.

"I won't tell" I teased.

She laughed and we made our way out.

"So who's Enzo?" I asked as I held the door open for her.

I was curious not jealous. I was not jealous.

"My mom's boyfriend, you haven't met him?"

"I have not, I'm actually a bit scared now" I admitted.

She placed her hand on my bicep.

"Well it's a good thing I told mom not to tell him"

"My car is this way" I said changing the subject.

"Lead the way"

I placed my arm over her shoulder and looked down.

"This ok?" I asked.

She nodded and we began walking.

"Hungry?"

"Starving" I replied.
