Sophia's POV- January 2017

I quietly made my way inside Adrian's condo and closed the door behind me. I set my duffle bag, and grocery bag on the floor before quickly going upstairs. I opened the door to his room and peaked inside. It was almost noon, and Adrian was still fast asleep. I climbed up on the bed and frowned when I saw Adrian's head was bandaged up. He had been hit in the ear with a puck and got stitches. This happened on Monday during an away game. His eyes snapped opened when I touched his shoulder.

"I'm fine"

I smiled.

"I'm the one who's allowed to get hurt" I joked.

He lightly snorted as I gently touched the band that was wrapped around his head.

"No you're not. We're both not allowed to get hurt"

"Things happen though" I stated.

"Exactly"

I leaned down and gave him a gentle peck.

"How bad does your ear hurt?" I asked.

"I'll feel better if I get another kiss"

I laughed and gave him another kiss.

"What time is it?"

"A bit past noon" I replied.

I had class at 8AM this quarter, but my weekends began on Thursdays after 11:45.

"Did you miss class?"

"Of course not, it was canceled" I said before settling next to him.

He shifted so he was facing me.

"I'm here all weekend" I told him.

He smiled and grimaced after.

"I'm fine, It just hurt to smile"

I nodded.

"Your mom says she should be able to take the stitches off on Saturday before the game"

"That's good" I stated.

He hummed.

"Want to go eat somewhere?"

"I made a trip to the grocery store before coming here" I answered.

"God, I love you. You're the best"

I laughed.

"What did you bring?"

"I brought you pancake mix, eggs, and some fresh veggies and fruit" I replied.

"An omelette sounds great"

"Omelette it is" I said.

I kissed his cheek and sat up.

"Hurry up now" I told him.

I patted his thigh before walking out of the room. Just as I was done making his breakfast I felt his arms wrap around my waist.

"You're the best"

He nuzzled his nose against my ear and kissed my cheek.

"Are you going to eat?"

"I had lunch with Maddie before driving here" I replied.

He took a seat next to me and nodded. I watched as he ate and lightly smiled when he looked at me.

"So Valentine's day falls on a Tuesday"

I nodded.

"What do you want to do?"

"Let's go out for dinner. We haven't done that in forever" I answered.

"It's the night before a game, but fuck it. How does steak sound?"

"Mouth watering" I admitted.

"Steak it is, I'll look into reservations some time this week"

"Sounds good" I said.

"How's your floor routine going?"

"I changed the first pass" I told him.

I smiled when he let out a sigh of relief.

"You would have been the death of me with what you were intending to do"

"I mean, I still practice it" I stated.

I laughed when he scrunched up his nose.

"Don't tell me that, the less I know the better"

"Are the guys still bothering you with my floor music?" I asked.

They liked messing with him and playing the song before and after games.

"Yeah, most of the guys know most of the song by heart. They'r pretty thrilled that you might debut the famous jewelry thief routine"

I laughed as he mimicked a part of my routine.

"You're such a dork" I told him.

"You love me!"
