"Be safe. I need you back home now. These aren't games. Cato this is war" I tell him I strap his helmet on his head.
"Don't worry Clove" he says. He kisses my head. And hugs me. "I'll be back this time. Remember snow can't tare us apart" he says.
"I know. But I can't lose you again" I tell him. I let him go.
"I'll see you soon" he says. And he walks away. I walk out and see him walk down the corridor.
"He will be fine" I hear a voice behind me. I turn around
"Finnick. Your alive" I say
"For now at least, I'm off as well. So is Johanna and Enobaria. Annie is here though. You can't talk too her" he says
"What about Brutus" I ask. Finnick's face drops
"He-he was killed. In the capitol. We thought you would have seen him. But you didn't. Wiress and beetee are still with is. Well beetee away. Wiress is mad now. Like Annie" he says
"Okay. You need too go. Good luck" I tell him. He nods and walks away. I walk over too the control room and see the hovercrafts take off. Annie comes over and sits next too me.
"Hello" he says. I turn around and see her sitting there.
"Hi. Are you okay?" I ask. She nods her head
"Is Finnick going too come back?" She asks.
"I'm not sure. I really hope so" I tell her
"Me-me too" I smile at the mad girl and she smiles back.
"Craft 045 is down I repeat craft 045 is down" is stand up
"who's in that craft?" I ask
"They are jumping from the craft now. All shoots are go" says the control man
"Who is in that!" I shout the man looks round at me
"Cato was, and so was most of the other victors like Johanna and Enobaria" he says. Annie stands up and walks over
"Fin?" She asks. The man nods and she breaks down into tears.
"All the shoots have landed. He's okay miss Cresta" says the man. Annie stops crying and goes back too sit down.
"Annie it's okay. Finnick will be fine" I tell her. She smiles and grabs my hand
"Cato will be okay too" she says. I smile at her.
The hours pass. The hours turn to days. Which turn to weeks. None of the victors are dead. Only wounded. Finnick was shot in the leg and is now in the hospital. And Johanna was sent back with Finnick for support. Cato is still fighting. With the heli-cams we can see where he is. They follow all important people.
Yesterday some peacekeepers took a few other soldiers and and have held them hostage. But we are fighting out way into the gates of the presidential palace. They have been instructed to kill snow on site.
The phone begins too ring in the other room. Someone runs too get it. It's really hard too see were everyone is because is night time and the heli-cam doesn't have night vision. "Clove? It's for you" I run over to the phone.
"Hello?" I ask. I hear gunshots down the phone
"Hello Clove, It's Cato. How are you" my heart swells and a smile prints onto my face. I breath heavily with excitment
"Oh my god Cato. I miss you" I tell him
"I miss you too. We are really close too the gates so we should be-" the phone goes dead and all I hear it a long bleep
"Cato?! Cato!" I shout. The memories of my mother run through my mind "what's going on?" I ask the control man.
"Our forces powers have been Cut and we have lots all connections. The heli-cams are down" he says. "We are blind!" He shouts. My happiness turns too sadness and my heart breaks. I don't know what's going on anymore.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"The capitol has cut off our power now all we can do is wait till it reconnects" he says.
"Clove. Come with me" I turn around and see Annie. I walk over to her
"Annie what's wrong" I ask. We walk down to the hospital ward and I see Finnick in his bed. We sit at the end of the bed and Annie talks to me
"Nothing's wrong. We wanted to keep you occupied. So you wouldn't worry" says Annie
"Thank you Annie" I tell her. She hugs me. For a mad girl she's really sweet. Annie and I talk for hours until an announcement is made
"The power is reconnected. We now have power" says a loud booming voice as he says is. About 4 soldiers are wheeled in on trollies and are attached to machines. "Clove Sevina. Can you please come to the control room" says another noise
"Thank you Annie" I say and I walk up.
When I arrive a man has a phone and is holding it out too me. "Hello?" I ask
"It's me again. Did I scare you then?" Asks a comforting voice.
"Cato! Oh my gosh you did scare me. Well. I wants too tell you. Myself. Snow has been captured by the rebels"
"Really?!" I shout "so what happens now?" I ask
"His execution and then..I'm not sure. We move on" he says. I smile
"Okay. Be back soon" I tell him
"Will do. Bye" he says. And I hand the phone back.
"Heard the news" says the control man
"Yes. It's so exciting. My life will be back to normal" I tell him
