Emma Swan and Killian Jones were in love since they met back in the 6th grade when Killian was a new student in Storybrooke.
It took them awhile but Freshman year of high school Killian asked Emma out.
Then come the summer before their Junior year...
Here she was our daughter. She is back in our lives and is covered in bruises. Her face, Her arms, Her knees, and Her collar bone area. Just seeing her like this killed me. I could see Emma face while looking at our daughter.
"Mackenzie what happened?" Emma asks her.
"Punishment for leaving." Mackenzie says.
"They did this too you?" I ask.
"Yes they did. This always happens when I disobey them. Dont send me back there." She says.
"Dont worry we wont." Emma says and hugs her.
"You promise?" She asks.
"We promise." I say.
Emma then left the room for a second and came back with a camera.
"Whats that for?" Mackenzie asks.
"To take picture. Its gonna show proof that they hurt you. Dont worry you wont have to leave us again." Emma says.
After she took pictures of our hurt child we sent Mackenzie upstairs for some sleep.
"Love this is terrible." I say.
"And its all my fault." Emma says.
"What? No its not. You didnt hurt Mackenzie they did." I say and place my arm around her.
"I gave her up. I though she would be better off with adult parents. I failed her." She says crying on my chest.
"No love we didnt fail her. We were young when we had her. We had to give her up because we thought that was best. We didnt know she would end up in a bad home. She is here now with us and she knows we wont hurt her. So now love we have proof that they hurt her and we can finally win her back." I say.
"Do you think she blames us for what happened to her?" She asks.
"No I dont. She came to us for help. She wouldnt have done that if she thought we were to blame." I say.
"I just dont want them to come back here and take her again and have it be worse." She says.
"I wont let that happen. Everyone in this town wont let them take her after this. Though the question is are we ready to be her parents?" I ask.
"She is 16. I dont think she needs us as parents I think she might needs us as friends." She says.
"Well whatever we are to her right now she needs protection. We will protect her and I promise you and her that no harm will come to either of you ever." I say.
"I love you." She says.
"I love you too." I say and kiss her head.
I pulled her close to me and just held her. No one will hurt our daughter ever again and no one will ever hurt my Emma. As long as Im alive they both will be safe.
