Before I knew
And before you knew
You left
For some darkness
And I panicked then
It's only now that it makes sense
That feeling to never lose you again
Did you feel it too?
When I had to leave you?
I understand now
Why I was so dire to keep you safe
Inspired to be your mace
Perhaps...
(A little more so than that)
I went too far
I surpassed the bar
But I still don't want to lose you.
I pushed you away
And this distance grew
But I would do anything
To fill this void
To run back to you.
