Hearing/Saying Goodbye

"Goodbye."
Soft words
I hear them now
Pain in every sound
Every syllable
And every stress
It's not the best
It's no test
Just distress
No happiness lays on the other end
Only pain
And newfound sins
For darkness reminded me I'm alive since
It brought so much pleasure
And even more pain

Goodbye
Softer words now
I choke them out
Never alive could those words come
Surely my life is now done
Not even darkness could revive me now
There's no pleasure
Only misendeavors
Everything that was once there
Now gone
Hollowed to the bon'.

A/N: This isn't how I feel right now. The week is just coming to a close, and that means I'm drunk. And these drunken nights all end the same: rue and remembering what else makes me rueful. Plus, I made the poem, so it'd be a waste not to share it.
