The brightest people,
Those that are so capable of lighting the way for others,
Often seem to be the emptiest....
Maybe it's because they radiate so much of the light within them,
That there is never any substance left to retain inside of themselves.
If that's the case, I thank you for your light,
For your sacrifice.
And as you continue to be bright,
Breaking past the night in my heart and eyes,
I shall be your lux-rechargeable battery.
Recharging, and replacing the emptiness within you
With my love, care, and devotion.
A/N: Maybe not quite a poem. But I was inspired to write this. It's more like, me getting an epiphany. My solution. In fact, I think I'll make that the title....
