Zerkstar - Deception

A/N - Sorry this took ages to write because life is so hectic. I'll try to update more frequently if possible but no promises, Sorry! At least this one is by far the longest one to make up for it.

The sidemen - minus Vik and Josh- are holding a secret meeting over skype, whilst those two are Pokemon Go hunting off camera since the new update of gen 2 has been released but everyone still says it's shit. The reason it is held now is because the meeting is about figuring out what the hell is going on between those two. Whenever Josh is going out with Freya, if Vik isn't recording, then he would always invite Vik. Sometimes he would literally drag Vik out of his chair and take Vik with him on his date with Freya, yes his date! The guys need to clarify why Vik is becoming the third wheel of their relationship. The odd thing is, Vik doesn't find it weird or complain. Plus he also always either asks Josh for help first all the time or asks Josh to accompany him to whenever he leaves the house, even going to the convenient store together when they run out of milk for cereal. No matter what angle you look at it there's something fishy going on.

"I tried asking Josh why he was taking Vik with him everywhere he goes and guess what he said?" Simon began sounding quite infuriated by the whole ordeal

"What?" Ethan asked quite curious 

"He said It's because Vik is always tied down editing and is a workaholic, he needs a break and he's concerned about his health," Simon replies not believing any of it

"Sounds like a Josh thing to do, his daddy instincts kicking in." Harry joked.

"Lol but seriously that actually sounds believable," Ethan commented. 

"I thought so too and I felt bad for not doing something for Vik as well, so then I said that we should all spend a bit of time with him in the house or go out together with all of us to Nandos or something so you should enjoy your time with Freya, just the two of you. And then guess what he said." Simon continued in the same agitated voice

"What that we would only make it worse for him as he doesn't want to bee a burden to all of us?"JJ half -joked trying and be a prick to Simon

"Actually you're on the right lines. He told me that he think it's better for only one of us to be there because Vik would feel guilty about taking up all of our time just because he has problems and since he's already taking him out, there's no need for us to do anything!" Simon almost yells at that point.

"Wow that's low, I mean I can totally see Vik being like that but still, it's not a way he should feel about us so we need to prove that he's not a burden by taking him out!" Ethan complains, sharing Simon's anger

"Guys I know I'm not the smart one here but I think Josh is using that excuse to maintain his "alone time" with Vik. So I think he's definitely hiding something" JJ opinionates

"I never thought I would say this ever but I agree with JJ" Harry adds

"Wow thanks, bro" JJ remarks in his usual sarcastic voice

"No but JJ is right, Josh is keeping something from us. this may be 11 years speaking but when Josh truly cares about someone, no matter how trivial it might seem josh would always tell others who care about that problem and get them on board. So this is strange" Tobi finally joins in.

"Vik doesn't seem like he's hiding anything when I confronted him," JJ remarked

"Oh, so what did he say then?" Simon curiously asked

"I can't tell you. It would be a violation of his trust, all I can say is that they aren't communicating their emotions well and there's something going on between the two of them that isn't official and neither of them fully realise that." JJ informs the group
