Nothing Is Normal (invader Zim X reader)

Today was the last day at you school , the last day with your friends , and the last day in your home town. Your father had gotten a new job in a new town which you never heard of before , it was scary. You and your friends were heading towards the exit of the school , it was silent until one of your friends broke the silence , "so what do you think your new school's gonna be like?", You shrugged your shoulders ,"I'm not sure , but I know the people there are never gonna top you guys" , you smiled , "you got that right!" , another friend teased. As you kept walking you heard your name being called , "(y/n)! (Y/n)! Over here! Look at me!" , you turned your head to see your little sister poking her head out of your parents car. ' I guess I'm not going on the bus today' , you thought , "(s/n) What are you doing?!" , you yell sarcastically ((s/n) means , sisters name by the way). Your sister gave you a smile as your father honked at you , " come on, (y/n) we gotta catch up with the moving van , letting out a sigh , you turned to your friends , and gave them a hug , "I'll miss you guys" , you said taking one last glance at the middle school that you will never see again. Your friends hugged back , said their goodbyes , and headed to the busses , you stepped into the car and put on your head phones , however about 5 or 6 hours later your phone died causing you to wake up. You sat up and stretched your arms , you noticed the sky was orange , meaning it was probably the afternoon , "hey dad when are we gonna get there?" , you asked , being the curious kid you were. Your dad turned to you and said , "we might get there at around
2 A.M. and you should get some sleep , because as soon as we get there the unpacking people will already be there putting in the furniture inside for us". You nodded your head , and before trying to doze off, you first turned your head to see your sister , who was already fast asleep next to you . You gazed at your mom as well only to see her asleep too ,  and with that you put your head against the window once again , ' I wonder if I'll make any new friends in my new town ' , was your last and final thought before falling asleep once again. Your sleep didn't last long however , you felt the car stop , your mom , dad , and sister all got off , you hesitantly opened your car door , and stepped out ,you glanced around , first seeing your grayish new home , then seeing the moving van , and the guys unpacking. At first you thought all was normal , that was until you glanced two houses down ,you saw a huge green house with a slight purple tint to it. 'Wow , that's a cool looking house' , you thought , "come on (y/n) , let's go inside!" Your sister playfully smiled , while grabbing your wrist and dragging you into your new home.
