The skool day was finally over for you, you quickly dashed outside, not even waiting for Dib (he had bugged you enough as it is). You weren't even going to acknowledge your house, you were going straight to Zim's house first. Though you couldn't explain why you were so eager to see him, perhaps you felt sorry about the whole antenna incident, or maybe you did miss him? You've only known him for over a month. Pushing the thought away, you went up to Zim's house and rung the doorbell, ' he has to be here right? Where else would he possibly go?' You stood there for a moment until the door opened, you smiled expecting it to be Gir or Zim but instead was a robot parent. It didn't say anything, just kinda stood there, you eventually got very impatient and pushed through it. Once you made it into the main house, you ran straight to the trash can, stepped inside of it, and let it take you down into the base. Before the elevator had even touched the ground, you jumped off, resulting in you hitting your face first on the ground, but you didn't care. "Zim?!" You called "I'm here, human" you sighed in relief and headed towards his voice until you found him. As soon as you did something, you're not too sure what, wanted you to hug him, but you decided against it, instead you greeted him "um.. hello zimmy," Zim looked over at you "hello little human, sit down". You nodded and sat down on a little metal stool, however nothing much happened..Zim just typed away at something as you sat there, that was until you decided to speak, "why weren't you at skool today, Zim?" He stopped typing on the big monitor for a minute " I was..eh..I was just thinking..and looking over your scans that's all.. speaking of which, do you still have mine?" You thought for a minute..until you realized that you were so eager to be here that you hadn't asked Dib for the scans back! Quickly thinking you nodded "uh, yeah I have them! I was looking at them a lot" Zim's face flushed as he mumbled "so was I". It got silent again until Zim broke it this time " little (y/n) human? Remember when I, the amazing Zim, first captured you?" You giggled "how could I forget?" Zim chuckled "yes, yes, I know..but for the past few months you've..kinda been avoiding a very important question..". You paused for a moment, Zim gladly continued, he stood up and gripped your shoulders, "human I'm going to be very honest with you right now..I, the great Zim..is very confused about our.. 'partnership' " you nodded in agreement "yeah me too.." "yes..I can tell.. but judging by the fact that you don't want to expose me, is interested in my research, and more importantly, is interested in me..could only mean one thing..". Zim got down to your level his face red and adorable, you started blushing too at the sight of him, "human.. You most likely know of this already, but Irkens don't exactly need friends.. However! You should feel honored..that I'm canceling this partnership! And rather..replacing it with a friendship..". Your eyes went wide, you smiled "you..actually consider me a friend?" Zim nodded, you giggled "well of course I'll be your friend! As long as you don't pull my eyes out, like that Keef kid". Zim gave you a friendly smile, a smile you've never seen on an Irken before, "yes I promise..." Silence again, Zim looked at you for a while, you opened your mouth to say something, before Zim did the unexpected.. the small Irken lunged forward and wrapped his arms around you, giving you a tight hug. This caught you off guard, but you gladly returned it, you've never touched an Irken like this before, he was so adorable! And warm! After a few minutes, he pulled away "now human, please answer my question! How do you know about Irken technology?" You sighed "okay..I'll talk" you grabbed Zim's wrist until you held his hands, his eyes never left yours, "Zim.. your not the first Irken that I've met..I've met another one before" Zim gripped your hands tightly "Identity him.." "it's a she actually..and her name is Tak.."
