Nothing Is Normal (invader Zim X reader)

Friday. You honestly weren't sure if it being Friday was a good thing or not..on one hand you have the weekend to look forward to, but on the other hand you have Zim to distract you all weekend. You honestly didn't care too much about Zim right now though, right now you were too tired to do anything! Your mother stopped the car, waiting for you to get off, you collected your things, and got off, "Have a good day at skool, (y/n), and come straight home okay?" You mother said, your little sister gave you a wave, and they drove off, "I'll try" you mumbled, you turned around and got startled by Dib, he chuckled, "you'll try to have a good day? Or you'll try to go straight home?" You smiled up at Dib, for once it was good to see a friendly face, but at the same time, a wave of confusion hit you, were you supposed to tell Dib what happened? Were you even allowed to speak of it? And even then Zim would be frustrated because you escaped! You were lost in your own thoughts until, Dib snapped you out of it, "hey, earth to (y/n)? Are you there?" You immediately looked at Dib, "what? Oh yeah I'm here" Dib looked a bit concerned at this point, "are you okay? You look really tired, what happe-" you cut him off, "I'm fine, my exhaustion doesn't matter right now, I have something to tell you" before Dib could say anything the late bell rang, "well you'll have to tell me later, we're gonna be late!" You nodded, you and Dib started running as fast as you two could, hoping that Ms. Bitters didn't punish both of you.

Class was going along fine, Zim got to skool 5 minutes late, and when he saw you he gave you some pretty bad death glares, but you were too tired to care, 'Jesus, Zim, if you're gonna try to kidnap me, kidnap me when it's at least 5:00 because going home at 2AM didn't help me at all!!!' You thought practically yelling at him, but still, all you had to do was wait until lunch. You looked at the clock as much as you could, until you could no longer have your eyes opened..

You woke up in an alleyway, you stood up, but not completely, you were bent down and moved in a fast crouch whenever you walked... Almost as if you didn't want to be caught by something..or someone..you were a lot taller for some reason it was dark and you were wearing rags, with your purple sweater (which you had forgotten at Zim's base) around your waist, however it was in horrible shape, you continued to walk in this fast crouch, until suddenly, an extremely bright, blue light started shining on you, as soon as this happened, you started running, running like there was no tomorrow, you looked back and saw the source of the light, it came from a ship... Before you knew it..you weren't running anymore...the light was lifting you up you couldn't breath...

You woke up with a startled gasp, the entire class was looking at you... You were clutching the desk for dear life, what kinda freakish nightmare was that?! Zim was looking at you with a smile on his face, did he know this was gonna happen?! The freak.. As you started to calm down, you noticed Ms. Bitters standing next to your desk with her ruler slapped on it...had she tried to wake you up? Well if she did...it definitely wasn't the ruler that had done it..
