After you and Dib had left Zim's house, things had became a lot more tense between you two mainly because you destroyed Dib's camera on Monday morning. Not to mention the fact that he keeps asking you what you and Zim were talking about before you came to Dib's rescue. Despite how annoying things were with Dib, he was often understanding enough to leave you alone about it. On the bright side, this was one of the greatest things to ever happened to you! You made friends, or rather acquaintances with an Irken! And Zim became a lot more relaxed and calm knowing that he had a human on his side, however he doesn't completely trust you, but neither do you.
You got off your mother's car and went to skool as usual. You met up with Dib, "come on (y/n)! Just tell me what you and Zim were talking about! You're my friend! And friends don't keep secrets!" You sighed "I know, I'm sorry Dib, I'm just afraid you might be angry, and I don't wanna lose you as a friend". It was silent "okay (y/n) how about you tell me tomorrow, okay?" You nodded, "just don't get angry, and don't view me differently", within a few short minutes rain started pouring roughly, you had to admit it was a bit challenging to get to class, do to all the excited children. However you two made it to class and to your surprise, Zim was actually early this time! But..Dib gave you a very questioning look because of what he was wearing..Zim was wearing your now soaked, purple sweater, the one you had left in his base. 'Hmm Zim must have gotten through the crowd of children before we did' you thought. You and Dib went and took your seats, but a paper hit your head you opened it. Dib. It said 'okay (y/n), I don't wanna assume..but I'm gonna guess right now..you and Zim are friends now?' You took a moment, you quickly wrote down 'aquantances, but don't worry I have a plan' and threw it over.
Later at lunch, things didn't get any better, you grabbed your plate and looked over at Dib.."umm..Dib..I'm gonna go sit with Zim okay?" Dib let out a sad sigh "look, (y/n) I trust you, and if you got a plan..then please use it, I'm still your friend, but be careful around Zim". You nodded, "don't worry Dib I'll be okay" you smiled and headed for Zim's lonely table, but a horrible thought came to you, 'and what is your plan exactly?..oh wait a minute you don't have one, you just said that to give Dib closure!' You tried not to think of it. "Hello" you greeted Zim, Zim looked at you, scanning you, "greetings, filthy-human" he moved over and allowed you to sit down..he was..surprisingly calm.. "so..human, I assume we should start working together, yes?" "Yeah" you agreed "okay, so first I wish to ask you.." Zim clapped his hands together and took a deep breath "why?..do you humans..EAT SUCH HORRIBLE FOOD!? HONESTLY! WHAT ON IRK IS THIS?!?!" USE THIS FOR ENERGY-" he cut himself off, it got quiet Zim's confused face suddenly looked concerned, but why? Why does he look like this? Irkens never look like this! "why is the human crying? Had Zim done something wrong?" You looked at him "huh? Oh no I'm not sad at all!" You wiped a tear away, you started to explain, "sometimes when humans get extremely happy, they cry" Zim looked puzzled "so..humans can have..'happy tears'?" You nodded "of course we can!"
