Edward asked me about our school since I mentioned that I went to Divine school since Grade 1. I told him everything that I know offcourse. I told him about how I used to sneak in the school after hours because I like to pretend I am having a concert on the school stage. I told him about that one time that the school janitor saw me crying because I was bullied since I was too skinny. I told him about that time that my crush found out about me liking him and embarrassed me in public. I told him about that time there was a strong wind and my skirt flew up and everyone saw my hello kitty underwear. I told him most of my experiences from school. And then I realized I was the only one talking, so I decided to ask him what was his favorite summer memory.

"Uhm, where to begin? I have so many, but one of my favorite summer memory was when I got invited to this welcoming party because the Entrata's granddaughter is in town." He smiled at me as he said this.

"Edward, serious please. So many things happened that summer and that was your favorite?" I asked.

"Maymay, two months of my summer was almost with you everyday. And yes, my favorite summer moments were all with you. Do you remember when we went to the mango farm? I mean, when we sneaked in your Lolo's mango farm and stole a couple of mangoes? You climbed the tree and you made me stand guard just in case someone sees us? I remember you struggling to get down from the tree." He laughed. "I then thought, how could you climb the tree so well and struggle to go down? Do you remember what you said then?"

Maymay smiled at this. How could she forget? Maymay being Maymay has a tendency to make everything a life or love lesson. She smiled and said "Yes I remember. Climbing a tree is like falling in love, its easy. You have that rush that keeps you going. When you realize you are already on top or when you have fallen deep, it is hard to fall out of it. Just like getting down from the mango tree. You enjoyed the experience of being on top of the tree that getting down from it is a real struggle"

"Oh, so poetic Maymay. Do you remember when we went to river to swim? I remember you lying to me then. I asked you if you were a great swimmer, and you said yes since you did not want to feel embarrass. I then brought you the deep side of the river and you drowned. I really thought you were just pranking me then, but 5 seconds passed by and you looked helpless. I went for you and brought you to shore. And ahh, Edward Barber saves the day" Edward triumphed at this.

Maymay smiling at the memory. Offcourse she remembers that day. If it wasn't for Edward, she would've... well, let's just say she won't be here right now. So she answered with, "Well, that was your fault to begin with. You were making fun of me! You said I cannot swim because I am too skinny and it'd be pointless because the water current will over power me anyway. So instead of admitting that I in fact cannot swim, I lied and said I am a great swimmer. Pssh"

"Hahahaha... Oh Maymay. And then do you remember when went to this party because our grandparents force us to? " Edward asked.

"How can I forget? You met your summer girlfriend at that party!" Maymay answered

"Well, she was not my girlfriend. She liked me and I thought she was beautiful but she did not make me laugh as much as you did. That is why I'd rather spend my time with you than with her, because at least my bestfriend can make me laugh like there is no tomorrow."  Edward said.

I then looked at my bestfriend and saw sincerity in his eyes. It was truly a great summer because I met Edward. I hated the idea of spending my summer at my grandparents alone but when I met him, I was just so happy I had someone to create summer memories with.

Edward and I just reminisced and before we realized, it was already late.

Edward then said, "Oh Maymay. My mom will be home soon so I better get going. I'll see you tomorrow." He said as he hugged me. He yelled afterwards "Tita and Tito, I'll go now and thank you for the snacks." My parents waved him goodbye and I walked him to the gate.
