Chapter 24~ Departure

"Thank you so much for being with us for two whole months. I'm going to miss you. I just wish you could stay longer." Seth said as he hugged me. 

Well, it's time for me to go and leave everything behind. Sure I'll come back here from time to time but Brad won't be here by that time. I just hope he could achieve his dream and become successful.

"Be careful alright? call us when you need anything." Chrissy said as she hugged me rather longer than seth's hug.

"I know. just tell me if it's a boy or a girl okay?" I told them which made Chrissy' face Tomato red. She's so cute.

"I'll inform you Sam. Just be safe and call us when you get there." Seth said. I turned towards my parents who's smiling the whole time.

"Sandra.. You take care of mom and dad alright and finish your studies before boys. Got it?" I said as mom and dad hugged me.

"Got it." She said as she hugged me as well. 

"I'll drive you to the airport." Dad said. I agreed and was about to go out when all of a sudden, I remembered Brad. I have to say goodbye first. We're friends after all.

"Just give me a sec." I told them as I rushed to their room. Good thing they were still packing.

"Hey." I said as the four of them looked at me. 

"uhhhhm.. I'm going to the bathroom first." James said.

"I'll be parking more cars. Wanna tag along Con?" Tristan said as they hurriedly went out.

"uhhh. well, I just wanted to say goodbye since it's my last hour in this place. Also I just wanna congratulate you for your future career. I wish you all the best." I said as he approached and hugged me. I feel like crying but I don't know why? I don't want to remove myself from his hug but I have to. I have to move on. Move on. Move on.

"Goodbye Sam." Brad said as he turn around quickly. Good thing he didn't see me. I felt tears flowing from my eyes. I wiped it right away so no one would see me like this.

"Goodbye." I said as I went out.

Brad's POV

As quickly as I could, I turned around so she won't see me crying. I tried my best to not let the tears fall but my eyes betrayed me. I need to be strong. Her forgiving me is enough. But her loving me? Impossible. I just hope someday we could meet again and I hope by then, we can be together. 

"So how did it go?" I heard James said as I wiped my tears as quickly as possible.

"IT went great. yeah." I said as I continued zipping my bags so we could go immediately.

"I don't think great is the right word for it." Connor said as I smiled at him.

"I think it's the best word for it." I said as I went outside. 

We were about to leave when all of a sudden, the HR manager approached us.

"Here are your last salaries. I hope for your success in your future career and thank you for being a part of Safari Resort." She said as we smiled at her. 

"Let's go" I said as we head towards James' car. 

While we're on our way to the airport, I was thinking. What if I didn't meet her when we were in high school? What if I didn't follow Jasmine to trick her and hurt her? What if we're just nothing to each other? Would this happen to me? Would I have the chance to feel like this? These unanswered questions keep popping on my head.

"You wanna talk about it?" Connor suggested but I'd rather not.

"C'mon man. She already forgave you. You don't have to be this depressed." He said once again which took my attention.

"It's not just about that. Yes I'm happy that she forgave me but it feels like I'm missing something." I said as he smiled at me. 

"You love her." Connor said which made me think again, is he telling the truth? Do I really love her?

"I don't know. It's just.. It all started when she came to the resort and I wanted to apologize to her so bad. What do you think? DId I fell for her without me knowing? Is this love?" I asked Connor. 

"Do you want to hug her?" James asked. well duh? I just did.

"of course, I just did." I said.

"Do you want to let go?" He continued.

"uhhh.. no.. I think." I said. I was hesitant to say the truth but ended up saying it anyway.

"So what would you do if you saw her for one last time?" He asked again.

"I would hug her. Tell her that I'll always be there for her when she needed me. and tell her..." I didn't continue knowing what I was about to say will change everything.

"keep going." James said.

"and tell her.. I love her." There! I finally said it! I admitted it! I'm in love with her and I want to tell it to her right now.

"Bingo." James said.

"oh look. That was her dad. I think she's around here somewhere." Tristan said as James Parked the car.

"I'll wait for my cousin to arrive so he could drive my car to my house. and you.. You go get your girl." James said as my smile grew wider and wider. 

I ran towards the entrance and checked the time. It was 10:15! I looked for a flight from here to Paris and bingo! it's an hour from now which gives me more time to find her!

I ran towards the area where I could find her. I started searching for her in the sea of people, which is a bit annoying. Among all days, why now? Why would they choose to travel now! 

I became impatient and went at the center where all people were clapping only to see Elyar and Sam.. Hugging. I saw a huge banner from behind saying "Will you marry me?" 

How foolish of me. How dumb of me. To think that she would choose me if I came at her and confess my deepest love for her? 

I felt a huge boulder being thrown at me. I feel like pulling a trigger on my head for assuming things will go my way.
