Chapter 15

At 4pm I get a text from Gabbie.
Where were you today?? I got something important to tell you :(

I reply;
I was sick. Wanna catch up?

There's a knock on my front door and I go to open it. David is standing outside, "hey."

"What do you want?" I ask.

"Please can I come in?" He asks.

I shrug and let him inside. We
Sit at the table.

"What do you want?" I repeat.

"I broke up with Gabbie today."

My heart pangs for Gabbie but I can only feel happy he's finally mine. Or is he

"I assume you'd rather have Mia than me now anyway."

"No Liza Mia is only a friend!!"

"Why were you so rude to me yesterday?" I ask.

"Cause u were rude to Mia."

"Whatever." I say.

There is a knock on the door and I get it.

I open it and see Gabbie crying and shivering.

"Gabbie! What's wrong!" I say loudly and hug her.

I turn to David and mouth at him to hide. He gets up and hides in the linen closet.

We go up to my bedroom and I lock the door.

"Baby what's wrong?" I ask Gabbie.

"David broke up with me today he said he loved me as a best friend," Gabbie sobs.

"Aww I'm sorry," I say.

We talk for a bit and I try to cheer her up then she leaves an hour later. I open the linen closet and surprisingly David is still there, on his phone.
