"I'm starting to think otherwise." My head droops low like normal but I look up.

"Alex," pause, "you're not a bad person, but there's also nothing wrong with you. I mean, um." Tony scratches his head, trying to find something to say.

"Yeah, okay. You're right. I've gotta go." I stand up quickly with my tray.

"It's not even time to leave yet,"

"I don't care. I need to go. Bye Tony." Turning to walk away, I grab my notebook and pen.

   The door to my locker opens smoothly. I toss my notebook and binder into it, then slamming it shut.
   The hallway is eerily quiet, but that's because everyone else is still in lunch.

   I head out the door and turn the corner, looking for my bike. I walk right to it and grip the handle bars to leave.

Am I really doing this?

Just leaving?

   I have to. I need a break.

But I'm not going home.
