Your pov:

It was officially Friday, a happy sigh leaving my lips as I quickly got out of my bed. I changed into some comfy clothes for school, making sure I looked somewhat presentable.

I skipped downstairs and made some porridge. Just as I sat down with my breakfast, Jake walked downstairs, approaching me and grabbed it before walking off.

"Thanks sis," he said, sending a playful wink my way.

"Jake," I whined. "You little shit," I said as I bolted towards him.

"What?" he turned to me innocently.

"Give it!" I exclaimed as I tried to grab it.

He lifted the bowl up higher with a smug look, his eyes watching my every move.

"Jake," I whined again.

I tried jumping up, missing the bowl completely. A huff left my lips as I looked up at him with a hard expression.

Yes, I am indeed a small girl, or maybe it's Jake that's tall.

"Jake," I grumbled, jumping up as I wrapped my legs around his torso, almost losing my balance as I held onto him for my dear life.

A low scream erupted from his lips as he nearly dropped the bowl.

"Kids, what on earth is happening in here?" my dad said as he walked into the living room.

Jake put the bowl down on the table before shaking me off, a squeal leaving my lips as I fell to the ground.

Jake paused as he looked down at me, then my dad, then me, then my dad again.

"Jake," my dad threatened playfully as he raised his eyebrows.

Jake's eyes widened before he bolted out of the dining room, my dad chasing after him in within seconds.

A laugh erupted from my lips as I saw them enter the dining room again, Jake dodging my dad every time he went to grab him.

"Oh my god," my mum said as she entered the dining room, her eyes wide as she watched them in amusement, the both of them exiting the dining room again as I stood up.

"Gotcha!" I heard my dad say from one of the other rooms.

I saw Jake coming around the corner with a droopy face, a breathless laugh leaving my lips at the site of him.

"Sorry for stealing your food," Jake said softly, his voice quiet.

"Huh?" my dad said next to me, his hand hovering over his ear.

"Sorry for stealing your food, y/n!" Jake growled out, his voice louder and irritated.

"Why the apology?" I questioned, trying to stifle a laugh as I watched him give me a hard glare.

"Dad made me," he said walking off to grab his car keys, another laugh leaving my lips as I grabbed my bowl.

Now this is why I get along with my family so easily; our whole life revolves around jokes.

"Hey beautiful," Joey cooed, placing his hands on my hips, his hazel eyes boring into mine.

"Hey," I said before kissing him on the cheek.

"How are you today?" he questioned, a twinkle in his eye as he looked at me intently.
