Chapter 19

Alison just stared. That person, standing in front of her, was someone she once trusted.

There stood another man beside him, who looked like he was in charge. Alison didn’t pay attention to him. She was much too focused on her enemy.

She glared at him, silently telling him how much she hated him.

He glared back at her, before smiling, “Well hello, we meet again!”

Alison couldn’t hold it in any longer. She was more than just angry.

“It was YOU! Why did you wait so long to attack? I was such an easy target for you. I practically lived with you Noah,” she rambled, slightly frightened.

“Actually,” said the other man, “his name is Ardon, and I sent him to clean his mess.”

Ardon was a name Ali had heard before, but she couldn’t put her finger on it. She knew he was important, but didn’t know why. When the second part of the man’s sentence registered in her mind, she couldn’t help think of what mess No-Ardon had made.

For the first time, Ali took looked at the other man. He had a type of evil royal look. He was dressed in a suit, literally. It was black, with a red shiny shirt underneath. In one hand, he held a type of stick. It looked like a walking stick, but upon inspecting it further, Ali noticed it was some type of long wand. One end of it was very sharp, and the other end was a glass figure shaped like a crow. On his head was a blood red crown, and he was wearing a blood red cape.

“W-who are y-you?” Alison questioned a little scared.

“I, I am his majesty Adaggon. I am ruler of the Aralasis.”

The conversation with Ash, from after she left the hospital, came back to her. Ali turned back to Noah. He was Adaggon’s second in command, Ardon.

“What mess did you create?” she asked Ardon, not even the least bit scared, but rather pretty annoyed.

“You,” Adaggon replied for Ardon, while Ardon just hung his head, “you are the mess he made.”

“ME?”

“Yes, Alison. You are the daughter of Mari and Lee. The grand-daughter of Ardon, Harold and two human females,” Adaggon spat.

“Harold?” Alison asked in shock.

“Yes, have I got to repeat everything for you?” Adaggon questioned rather loudly.

Alison snapped her mouth shut before she asked another question.

“I sent Ardon here,” Adaggon said waving his hand elegantly towards Ardon, “to clean up after himself. I gave him the second chance, which I don’t give anyone. But he was too busy ‘getting to know you’. So he missed his chance. But I’m not going to do so. Before I kill you however, let me explain your life story.”

She asked, "My life story?"

"You’re tempting me to hurt you. The next time you talk, your dead," he said, his voice menacing.

Ali just nodded. All she could think was that she had spent her whole life without knowing how much danger she was in.

"Good," he stated, "Now where were we?"

Alison looked to her so-called grandfather for help. Needless to say, he didn't help.

"Now let's see, you were 'planned', let’s call it. This one here thought it would be smart to prove to me that Tanakh and I can once again get along." he sneered looking towards Ardon.

"Harold and he made a plan. They wanted to prove Aralasis and Praishea can live together, no fighting, no war," he said, disgust clear in his tone.

Alison was about to speak, but Ardon shook his head, reminding her of Adaggon's threat.

Obvious to their silent interaction, Adaggon continued, "They mated with humans, and your parents were born. Your parents’ mating was supposed to be the slap in my face." Adaggon's voice was dangerously calm.

Alison was scared. So what if her parents did that? She didn’t do anything to deserve what she got. As a matter of fact, her parents were trying to do a good thing.

“Your father,” Adaggon laughed, “was found before you were even born. I didn’t even give him the chance to meet you. But don’t worry child, you shall soon see your father again. After I’m done with you, your father is next.”

Ardon gasped, “NO! You told me you’d let him be!”

“AND YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD CLEAN UP YOUR MESS,” Adaggon roared.

Ardon dropped his head again, going back into statue mode.

“What happened to my parents?” Alison asked shyly, trying to bring the attention back to her.

Adaggon laughed, “They’re right here!”

Alison looked around but she couldn’t see anyone else in the room besides them three.

Adaggon laughed, “Here,” he said holding up the wand, “they’re souls are trapped in this crystal. They will be tortured in here forever. Don’t worry child, soon you shall be there with them too.”

“They are trapped, tortured?” Alison asked in shock.

“Yes, and they will be until the end of time, because the only way to set them free, is if the glass shatters, and the glass will shatter only when I do,” he stated confidently, “and now you go too.”

Alison watched in horror as he brought the pointy end of his wand down towards her heart, closing her eyes before he actually hit her.

“NO,” she heard Ardon scream, and then there was a weight on her. She opened her eyes to see the back of a blond head.

She learned a few seconds later that Ardon threw himself in front of her, in order to attempt to save her.

Ali watched in horror as his body shook violently. Then, it disappeared into smoke.

She realised that was what will happen to her soon.

Adaggon chuckled, “I was going to get rid of him anyway,” he mused, “Now your turn.”

Again, he brought his arm down. Seconds before she was stabbed, the door shot open. She saw the wound before she felt the pain.

It was agonizing. Alison screamed at the pain. She looked up to see Ash’s pale face before her eyes forced themselves shut.

The last thing she heard was someone screaming in pain, before a shatter. Then, there was silence.
