When Morgana Black and Teddy Lupin walked into the New Year's Eve ball together - there was uproar. Complete chaos. Girls whispered to one another, giggling, while the boys all wolf-whistled and thumped Teddy on the back. Even teachers were discreetly nudging each other and smiling. Gossiping girls continued to hiss to each other in low voices, and both students were receiving envious glares.

Professor Flitwick stood in front of the orchestra, holding his wand like a conductor's baton. He counted them in and they began a slow waltz. Teddy placed his hand gently on Morgana's waist, and she set hers on his shoulder. With the free hand they each had left, they held hands, their fingers intertwined, smiling at each other in a daze.

They continued to dance to waltzes, quicksteps, foxtrots and jives. "We're actually not too bad at this," Morgana remarked as Teddy spun her round and caught her. He nodded. "Yeah, we've picked it up quite well." As if on cue, Morgana tripped on her stilettos and ended up stamping on her partner's toes.  They fell about laughing.

Morgana spotted Bryce and Emma getting some punch in the corner, while John and Scarlett jived happily. They pulled off a perfectly executed Pancake Turn, before Scarlett rested her head on John's shoulder, panting and laughing hard. Morgana gave her an encouraging grin and winked at Johnny.

Teddy took Morgana's hand and spun her slowly to the music, as the orchestra began finishing up with a slow dance. They stopped dancing as the orchestra finished and began to put away their instruments. Everyone looked around at each other, confused. "It's only nine o'clock," Teddy whispered to Morgana, as everyone stared in horror at the place where the orchestra had disappeared. Morgana sighed. "Come on, surely McGonagall wouldn't be this much of a bore!"

As if on cue, Professor McGonagall stood up on a small platform at the top of the Great Hall. "Well, that is the end of the New Year's Eve Ball," she announced. The entire hall broke out in murmurs, shouts of protest and loud sighs. Professor McGonagall laughed. "So now the party can begin!" She cried. The hall broke out in applause, cheering and grinning with relief. "Now, Hogwarts, it has been awhile since we had a party like this. But I am delighted, after almost twenty years, to welcome back to our school - The Weird Sisters!"

Everyone began screaming and jumping up and down as the lights dimmed and spotlights lit up the platform where The Weird Sisters were positioning themselves. They were quite an old group, Harry had told Morgana they were huge in his Hogwarts years, but they were the stuff of legend in the Wizarding World. The rockstars of this world. Hogwarts went mad as the lead singer picked up a mic.

"Good evening Hogwarts!" He yelled. All of the students screamed in approval, leaping up and down. "The lead guitarist stepped forward and started playing a riff which was familiar to all the Hogwarts kids. "Are you ready Hogwarts?" He cried, in a rough, coarse, rock star voice. They responded with a shout of approval. "Let's do the Hippogriff!" The lead singer shouted, to more roars of approval.

"Move your body like a hairy troll
Learning to rock and roll
Spin around like a crazy elf
Dancin by himself

Boogie down like a unicorn
No stopping till the break of dawn
Put your hands up in the air
Like an ogre who just don't care."

Morgana and Teddy laughed and danced to the heavy rock beat, leaping up and down excitedly with the other students. Everyone was just disco dancing now, clapping their hands and clicking their fingers and jumping around. Teddy grabbed Morgana's hands and spun her around quickly while she squealed in delight.

"Can you dance like a hippogriff?
Na na na, na na na, na na na
Flyin' off from the cliff
Na na na, na na na, na na na
Swooping down to the ground
Na na na, na na na, na na na
Wheel around, and around, and around, and around
Na na na, na na na, na na na."
