"You're never going to guess what our Alex got his hands on!" Scarlett cried, bounding into the Gryffindor dorm with a huge grin lighting up her face.

"Merlin knows," Emma smirked under her breath, fond memories of Alexander Cross's shenanigans while at Hogwarts filling her head.

"His girlfriend's working at The Phoenix Club," Scarlett exclaimed, and a tone of general shock and excitement fell over the room. The Phoenix Club was the coolest, most prestigious place in the wizarding music scene. Bands from all over came to play there, infamous old-timers and hopeful young upstarts alike. It was almost impossible to get in - it was in a secret location protected by the fidelus charm, and there were only two hundred and fifty tickets issued for every event in it. Long story short, getting in was a miracle, and if you did you were the most talked about person in the vicinity for weeks.

Scarlett held up six sleek, shiny purple and gold pieces of card. "And she managed to get us tickets to see this new band. They're American, getting a really big thing over in the States. The Thunderbirds, they're called."

"That's what one of the houses at Ilvermorny's called, isn't it?" Emma interjected, looking rather interested.

"I don't care what it is, they sound punk rock, let's go!" Morgana cried excitedly, getting up and throwing her arms around Scarlett. "Well done Scarlett, how many did you get?"

"There's six, so the three of us and a plus one, I suppose. I'll bring Johnny, I assume you're bringing Abraxas?" Morgana nodded. "What about you Ems?"

Emma glanced up. "Oh, umm.. I'm not really sure whether it's my cup of tea or not. Why don't you invite... oh I don't know... Teddy and Victoire?"

Scarlett laughed. "Good one. So who are you bringing then, that fella in Ravenclaw you sit beside in Potions? He seems nice."

"No, I'm serious, I just don't fancy it. It's not really my scene. Just bring Ted and Vicky."

Morgana raised her eyebrows. "You're having a laugh Ems. You love bands like that. And of course we're not bringing Teddy and Victoire."

"Why not?" Emma picked up a book again and began leafing through it in disinterest.

"You bloody well know why not!" Morgana snarled. "Now just wise up and pick someone to bring with you."

"I thought you might've been over him by now," Emma snapped back. "Seeing as you spend your life hanging off Malfoy these days-" a sharp look from Scarlett reminded Emma of her words and she sighed in defeat. "I'll just bring Grace or someone I suppose."

Morgana suppressed the rage boiling up inside her chest and reminded herself that no matter what a prat Ems was being, she was her best friend, and Morgana had probably been ten times worse at some stage. "What about Cameron McGuire in Hufflepuff?" Morgana suggested as gently as she could. "He's really cute, and you have Runes with him don't you?"

Emma shrugged and nodded. "Yeah, I suppose so," she muttered in defeat.

The next few weeks were hectic, as they juggled their last few NEWTs and preparations for the concert. So far they had been shopping for new outfits, arranged it with their dates, and listened to every song The Thunderbirds had released so they'd be "in the know". While Morgana maintained they were "punk rock", a phrase she seemed to throw around with no one definition, Emma was certain that if she heard another song from that band her head would explode.
