Eunah sat in her room, overlooking the wonderful confectionery that was set-up neatly in a small pink box. She was very proud of herself. Normally she would sit back and watch the servants make the decadent sweets for her family. But today she had insisted that she try to make them herself. She had been observing and had almost memorized all the necessary steps. The servants were amazed at how perfect the tea cookies had come out and she couldn't wait to show it to her father.
A bright smile on her face, she covered the coral-colored tin with a matching lid and rose to her feet. This was for her father. It was his birthday today and she figured she'd make him his favorite. The loud pattering of her feet could be heard as she hurried out her room and down the hall.
As she left out the front entrance, a woman dressed in a satin, patterned gown was making her way inside. She was accompanied by a servant who seemed to be using an umbrella to shield her from the sun. Quickly noticing Eunah making her way past her, the woman lifted her hand. "Eunah, where are you off in a rush to?"
"I'm going to get some ribbon for my gift to father..." Was all that was quickly uttered as the pink princess disappeared into the busy streets.
The older woman sighed and proceeded back inside the mansion. "Girls these days are so lively. Don't know what I'm going to do with them." She paused at the entrance, before looking to the servant. "Speaking of which, where is Ji-eun?"
