Chapter 1

MELODY'S P.O.V 

                    I woke up with a start from my dream. More like a nightmare. My clothes are drenched from the sweat. Though they're not frequent in these 5 years, but now I'm having those almost everyday. I think I'll just have to take some sleeping pills. I went to washroom, did my morning routine and take a bath. I decided to wore a navy blue skirt and a plain white shirt. It's only 8:30 am now so I have another 45 minutes to go to library. MY LIBRARY... It's been a year, but still I can't believe that I'm an owner of a library. It's a dream come true.

From the first time I saw Beauty and the Beast I want to have my own library. Obviously it's not big like in the movie, still it's mine. So I'm content. Here in Georgia, it's running good even though this is a small town as so many here are book lovers. 

I had my breakfast and went to take my bag, then locked the door and started walking to my library. It's only a half mile from here, so I mostly prefer to walk since I don't do any sort of exercise.

After reaching the library, I change the closed sign and went to desk taking my book. It's Law Man by Kristen Ashley. I really love all of her books, they're so romantic. If you give me her books and food, I'll live my life happily.

I jumped at the sound of bell looking at the source of it. Oh!! It's Daisy. My regular customer, might I say the one and only best friend of mine. She has blue eyes, dark brown hair and a few inches taller than me as I'm only 5'3 feet. She's beautiful, funny, outgoing, daring and sometimes sarcastic. And there's me, shy and a nerd with my black rimmed glasses. We are total opposites, but somehow we clicked instantly. She helps me alot when I first arrived here.

"Hey Mel, How's your weekend?"

"Hi Daisy, Same as always."

"Argh!!! You should go out more, make friends and party like normal people. but here you are eating, sleeping and most importantly, READING in the weekend" she said as it was a crime.

"Daisy! I'm uncomfortable with those things. I'd rather read a book in my comfy couch than to look like a complete idiot in an odd place."

"You know what.....I'm going to take you to the party next week and no, I'm not hearing your excuses to escape it. So you better be ready by 7:30 pm. If you're not, then I'll drag you to there even if you're in pajamas. You know when I'm serious, I do what I said. And now I am."

I've know better than to deny it. When she uses that tone, she'll do it anyway.

"Okay....."

She screamed. I mean literally. I cringed as the sound echoed through the room.

Before she started talking, I cut off her knowing what she's going to say.

"No, I'm not wearing any dresses and any sort of makeup. If you want me to go to that party I have to wear my choice of clothes."

She muttered something sulkily.

"Fine! Be ready at 7:30. You going to have one hell of a party. I promise."

"Ok Ok.... Even if its a trash party, I'm coming for you. So I'm not excited."

"You'll definitely love it" she said walking to the door. 

Suddenly she turned back with a mischievous glint in her eyes. 

"And by the way it's my brother's birthday party." Then she's gone.

My world stops around me!!

From the beginning she want me to date her brother as she thinks we're a perfect match. And he's a Motor Cycle Club President.

She's insane to think that a MC club president and a librarian will be perfect for each other. I hope she don't do anything crazy to set me up with him.

I bang my head to the table thinking about that.

Oh God!!!! Its going to be a long week.
