Im not done with college, im not meeting joe in California, I'm not 23. I grimaced thinking about still being 19 and not being able to see joe till summer. I rolled over, wishing I could go back into my dream. Instead of dreaming, I just cried.

"Mary you alright?" My roommate, Courtney asked.

"Yes I just had a bad dream" I lied.

It was actually an amazing dream, and I'm not alright.

I looked at the clock, 6pm. Shit. I had homework to do before my 7:30 class.

I jumped out of bed and flicked my desk lamp on. I pulled out the book I had to read and do a response on. I had to read form page 50 to 125. How the hell do people have this kind of time. I threw my book on my bed, giving up.

"I'm gunna go get a coffee, want one?" I asked Courtney.

"I'm good, thanks"

I walked out of the dorm and down the cold flight of stairs.

I hate this college, it's so dark and gloomy, there's no carpets or color...it's like a god damn hospital.

I got in my car and drove to dunkin donuts down the street.

"One medium coffee, 4 creams 3 sugars please" I spoke into the drive thru.

"Pull to the 2nd window"

I drove to the 2nd window and a cute boy was standing there with a dunkin donuts uniform on.

"Oh, well hello" he said in a dorky tone.

"Haha hi" I smiled.

He reminded me of joe. I noticed his name tag said Carter.

He had blue eyes like joe, and brown hair.

"That will be 2.39"

I handed him 3 dollars.

"What's your name?" Carter asked.

"Mary" I said watching him put the money in the cash register.

"I like that name, I'm carter" he said smiling.

He has a wonderful smile.

"Lemme go make your coffee" he walked back to go make it.

"Here ya go" he said handing me my coffee and change.

"Nice meeting you carter" I said with a smirk.

"You too" he smiled back.

I drove away and took a sip out of my coffee. Then, I noticed writing on the cup. "Text me: 753-389-6283"

Oh gosh.
