PSYCHE WAS HAVING A BLAST as she entertained her guests and as the party went on. It just started about an hour ago, but the place was almost full due to the number of guests that she had invited. She threw the party in their backyard, due to it being huge. And besides, they won't be bothering neighboring houses due to it being New Years' Eve, and everyone was having a party.
"Psyche!" She heard someone call, making her turn around to see who it was. Right there was none other than Heaven Marie— whom she had invited— with a big smile plastered on her face.
"Excuse me," she excused herself from talking with the Teen Wolf cast to walk towards the girl. "Hi!" She greeted and gave the girl a hug, "I'm so glad you could make it, and it's nice to finally meet you," she said.
"You too, Psyche," Heaven smiled, "thanks for inviting me," the girl said before handing her gift to the blonde— a small blue box. "Tom mentioned that your favorite color was blue, so I looked for a blue box to put my gift in," she informed with a smile.
"Wow, you didn't really have to," Psyche said, a small smile on her face, "You still, uh, you still talk to Tom?" She asked.
"Oh, totally, yeah. Does that bother you? If it does, I can stop? I mean, since you two are together now, I mean—"
"Sorry, what? Why would I be bothered?" Psyche asked, completely confused upon what Heaven was talking about.
"What? Since I ended things with Tom I figured he... oh," Heaven paused and looked at the confused birthday girl, "he didn't tell you anything, did he?"
"No?"
"Well, forget I said anything," Heaven said, "is Tom here? I'm gonna need to talk to him. Thanks for inviting me, Psych. I'll talk to you later," She gave the blonde a hug, and then she walked away, not even letting Psyche finish talking.
"What was that about?"
Psyche turned her head and saw Natasha holding a two drinks, handing the other one to her. "No idea," Psyche shrugged, "Tom isn't here yet, is he?" She asked.
"Speak of the Devil," Natasha said, pointing at the door where Tom was standing together with Harrison. Her eyes caught his, and in that moment, it was like they were the only two people in that place. The number of people didn't matter, nor the music playing in the background.
It was just them.

"So, what's up?" Psyche asked her best friend that was standing next to her. Tom had asked to talk to her somewhere else, thus, why they were standing in the balcony of her parents' bedroom.
Her eyes were fixed on the view right before her, but he was looking at her— the only view he would never get tired of looking at. A smile formed on his lips just by looking at the blonde-haired girl that he calls his best friend.
Come on, Tom, tell her, he thought. It was finally this moment, where Tom had fully understood his own feelings for his best friend, something that he had been keeping for the longest time, but never admitted to because he never knew how to acknowledge it.
"You're staring," Psyche mumbled, but enough for him to hear.
He chuckled lightly and shook his head, "I'm gazing," he said, earning a small laugh from the girl.
"Okay, Elena Gilbert," she joked, before turning her head to look at the boy, "What is it that you wanted to tell me?" She asked.
Tom opened his mouth to say something, but closed it after it seemed like he couldn't get the words out. He took a deep breath, You can do this, Tom. Just say it.
"Psyche, we've been friends for almost three years now— best friends, actually, and... I've been keeping this for... the longest time, and I've thought about this a lot. You know I overthink a lot, and trust me, I was ecstatic when you told me you liked me. I was speechless, but then you left, and then I was alone and I, uh, I thought about how things would go if we ended up being together. It was everything I have ever wanted— but then I thought about the things that would happen if it didn't work out. I couldn't risk our friendship like that," He paused, his brown eyes still looking at her blue ones. A small smile was on her face as be talked, because she wasn't stupid, she knew where this was going.
"But now, Psyche, I'm done having missed opportunities. I'm done letting chances go," he said and took one step closer to her, their faces close to each other. "I like you, Psyche," he finally said, the blonde's smile growing at the confession.
"Took you long enough," she said before closing the gap between them, their lips meeting, and it was just as magical as it was the first time, but this time, it was better, because they knew that this was finally their moment.
