I fell asleep thinking of what Gage had said, but was rudely woken up by rough hands shaking me.

"Don't touch me." I growled.

"Then why are you here?" I low voice responded.

My eyes flung open to see Mr. Kon hovering over me. "What?" I snapped.

"Get up! You came here for punishment, and with in that, you're helping me greatly. So get your ass up!"

My mouth dropped. Never did anyone talk to me like that and get away with it.

"Listen old man, there's no way in hell you're going to talk to me like that. I'm not afraid to hit old people!" I threatened.

"Yes, I'm sure you're not. Now lets go." He shrugged, completely blowing it off.

I growled, but got out of bed. He let me have ten minutes to change and get ready. On my way out I passed a glance at the clock. It read 6:29, and I let out a groan.

I followed Mr. Kon all the way downstairs to my guess would be a normal dining room times five. It was luscious and huge. The walls were tattered with white and gold. Red curtains, much like the ones in my room, hung from the large glass windows. And right in the center of the room stood a very long, stretched out table, accompanied with a with a white and gold table cloth. Around the room seemed to be very expensive exotic plants. The vases were something else in themselves. Not very attractive to the commoners eyes I suppose...

I couldn't help my mouth from dropping and my eyes from wondering though. I thought these places were only in stories. This house is amazing... I bet its a thrill to clean.

"Sit anywhere you like." I jumped at the voice behind me.

I twirled my head around to see none other than Gage standing over me. He was a tower with thick black hair. I thought.

Okay I'm not going to lie, I'm on the shorter side of 5'8 while he looked as if he were 6'1.

But suddenly I was cut from my thoughts as one of Gage's hands grabbed hold of my face. "See," he whispered seductively, "you're already falling for me. Gawking at me like that."

My mouth dropped and I pushed away from him. "Don't touche me!" I growled.

He sent out a laugh and hit me in my right shoulder. Pain struck through me. I guess the stab wound wasn't completely healed. I didn't show it though. I just bit my lip slightly and looked down. The pain didn't go away though. The throbbing felt like a heart beat in my shoulder. A burning sensation that no matter how much water you poured on it, it wouldn't die down. I turned around and began to walk away.

"Danny, darling, where are you going?" Mrs. Pure asked me.

I turned around with a slight smile. "I-I'm just a bit tired, I thought maybe I could skip out on breakfast today?" I couldn't believe it... I actually felt bad.

"Very well dear, you must be tired after that long flight. Go rest."

I raised an eyebrow, "really?"

"Really, oh and I'm really not suppose to do this but... I guess you can take the day off." She said with a smile.

I was shocked. "Thank you 'mam." I smiled and walked away.

As I passed Mr. Kon I heard him mumbling about this was preposterous... I couldn't help but smile. I trudged up to my new bedroom. When I got up there I laid down on my bed and just thought about some stuff. Then he came into my thoughts. My 'father'. I wonder how my life would be if he had never been my 'father'. Would I have a normal life. Happy even? Would my sister still be alive? Would I not be so screwed up? Would I have ever met the Pure family?
