"kim jisoo presented dead at the scene at 5:07am. cause of death, being hit in the head multiple times by a wooden bat."
numb. denial. refusal.
all words the 3 girls were feeling. the announcement the police had made in the morning still hadn't hit the girls properly yet.
they were in denial, that all of this was just a mere nightmare. one they wanted to wake up from as soon as possible.
they were all situated in the police station to give their report on the incident.
after jennie had been attempted to be saved by jisoo. jennie with her own eyes witnessed the horrid scene of her father beating the helpless girl ruthlessly with a bat.
she was traumatized.
the police came a minute too late to save jisoo. yet they were fortunately able to put the father and his friend behind bars.
however, jennie's mother remains unknown.
kim jaemin- wanted.
jennie hadn't uttered a single word since the incident and hadn't shed a single tear. she refused to accept the fact that she had just witnessed her best friend's death by her own father.
she wanted to go back in time and had never left to go to her parents. she wished she was strong enough to have saved jisoo at the scene... if only she wasn't weak.
chaeyoung in the other hand was silently crying. another person close to her had left her. she felt even more alone than ever before. although she still had jennie and lisa she felt her heart weigh at the thought of it only being the three of them from now on.
not four.
the pain was unbearable. she wished she had appreciated jisoo much more and showed more love to her.
why was it jisoo that had to experience the most pain? she didn't deserve any of this.
lisa was furious. furious at the ones who caused her death but also mostly at herself.
why did i let her go save jennie? it should've been me! i deserve to be beaten to death, not jisoo.
she wished she stopped jisoo from running into the room.
she deserved so much more.
lisa's mind went back to the scene from earlier. the deafening silence that came after jisoo's horrible death. the same silence from when her brother was found dead. the sound she never wanted to hear again. it was the silence where you could hear everyone's heart break.
lisa immediately went to the dying jisoo and held her lifeless body. she let herself cry. at least she knew jisoo was going to a better place. the world didn't deserve such an angel.
when the police came barging into the home she felt a sudden emptiness and loneliness in her heart as they took jisoo's body away from her. she felt cold.
that's when she let out a painful scream mixed with a cry. she repeatedly punched the wall hoping to god this was all fake. that none of this was true.
her punches were stopped by chaeyoung who held such broken eyes when staring at lisa. lisa sighed in defeat and looked at her bloody fists. but she didn't feel the pain.
the overwhelming pain in her heart was much worse.
she remembered thiswas the exact same feeling she experienced when joshua had died.
lisa wanted to kill herself, again.
and she doesn't know this time who will be able to stop her.
her mind was brought back to where she was as she heard an officer call out her name.
it was her turn to give her report.
jennie was sitting on the chairs alone as chaeyoung criedalone behind the wall, not wanting to be seen.
a sudden commotion from the front desk was heard. jennie turned her head towards the sound. two people, a male and female were seen arguing at the receptionist.
"who are you two again?" the receptionist asked politely, trying to hold her composure.
"for the one hundredth time! we are kim jisoo's aunt and uncle! she was under our care. we'd like to talk to the police about what happened to her!"
jennie felt her blood boil. these were the two people who made jisoo feel like a burden and made her upset constantly. now that jisoo was gone, they suddenly care.
complete bullshit.
she immediately stood up and walked over to the couple.
"leave." she stared straight dead at the auntie with flames in her eyes.
"excuse me. and who are you?" the uncle asked in a rude tone as he stepped in front of his wife, protecting her.
"i am jisoo's bestfriend, jennie kim. one of the only people who bothered to care and give attention to her. you two on the other hand made her feel like she was a burden. she suffered so much because of you two. she never in her life once felt what it was like to be loved!" at this point jennie began to cry.
slowly and slowly the realization was hitting her that jisoo was maybe truly gone.
"so don't come in here acting like you suddenly care! because we sure to hell know that you don't! this is complete and utter bullshit! JUST LEAVE!"
