Central Park, New York.

Living in New York City has been a complete blessing and a curse for you. All of the streets buzzing with people and buildings that seemed to go on forever made you feel like anything in this city was possible.

For the last few weeks you and your friends have been waiting to see the band Good Charlotte perform in Central Park.

"Who's ready?" your friend asked seeing as how you only had two best friends to your name

"I'm not, I still can't find an outfit" she said

"Are you joking? We have to hurry up and get on the subway to make it to the park in time for the show to start" you complained because Good Charlotte is one of your favorite bands to exist in this world

"If I'm going to be forced ro sit in the hot outdoors all day long I at least want to look hot in case any guys come to this concert"

You and your other friend just rolled your eyes at her and then started laughing. It took another half hour for them all to be ready.

The only horrid thing about New York City had to be the subway. It was the most disgusting and smelly place to ever be. It was the only logical method of transportation in the city because cabs cost money and driving a car took even longer than walking around. You and your two best friends made your way to the 1 train going uptown to get right to the entrance of central park.

"So what are we suppose to do here?" your friend asked

"What do you mean?"

"Well I looked at the venue online and there's no seats. So where am I suppose to sit down when my feet hurt" she said sounding as sincere as possible

Once again you and your best friend just laughed at your other friend. She was the total opposite of you and you didn't have any clue as to how you were friends. She enjoyed shopping and dressing up, while you enjoyed going to concerts and wearing band merch because it was easy as hell to buy.

"I always forget why we're friends with you" you said to her laughing while holding onto the subway poles while the train was moving

"What'd I say?" she said not realizing how ridiculous she sounded

"Y/N check it out" your best friend said nudging your elbow. "Don't look right now, but there's a hot guy checking you out right now"

"Where?" you said slightly pivoting your head

Your best friend quickly punched your arm making your turn back around to face her and your other friend. "I said don't look now, because he's hardcore staring and you can't let him know you see him watching"

"I have a better idea" you exclaimed as you heard the train's engine go off indicating that the train was about stop at the next station

"What are you going to do?" she asked as you started to walk away from your friends

You went and sat down next to the guy who was staring at you. He appeared to be alone on the train and you just started to make conversation with him.

"Hi I'm y/n" you confidently said

"Colby, nice to meet you"

"So it's pretty obvious that your not a New Yorker. Where you from?" you asked

"California.....how could you tell so fast?"

"Well for starters you have a map of new york city which absolutely screams tourist. Also, you should really keep your jacket zipped and backpack closed while on the subway"

"Why's that?"

As you pulled his wallet out of your sleeve you said "because people around here are capable of doing that"

"Damn, okay thanks for the tips. So what are you and your friends over there doing?"

"We're going to a concert in central park"

"Good Charlotte?!" he exclaimed

You were very surprised because how would some random tourist know about the concerts that were going on in new york city. You started to smirk at him and said "yeah that's the one"

"I'm on my way there now!"

You got up and he followed you over back to where your friends were standing on the other side of the train car. You at first didn't say anything to them and this guy Colby was just standing there next to you awkwardly.

"Guys this is Colby. He's a complete tourist but he's going to see Good Charlotte so he's gonna hang with us today" you said inviting Colby along hoping he would say yes considering he was by himself on the train going to central park

------

At the concert the opening bands had almost finished their sets and since your friend didn't want to stand in the front all night long you all had set up a blanket to sit on in the back. You wouldn't be able to see much, but it was better than nothing.

You and Colby had been talking since the train about all of your favorite Good Charlotte songs and which ones you thought they were going to play that night.

"Colby and I are going to try and stand up closer to the stage" you said as you and Colby got up and started to push your way through a crowd of people.

After only about ten minutes in the crowd of people the concert started to get hectic. There was a giant mosh pit of people circling and bouncing around the area. A lot of people were even crowd surfacing because Good Charlotte were playing their old songs and people were getting really into it.

"Are you gonna crowd surf?" Colby asked trying to keep himself steady as everyone was bumping into him

"Hell no, I think I'd rather be thrown out of a plane then trust these people" you exclaimed

Suddenly as a song was playing somebody had pushed really hard into you and you ended up falling over to the ground. Somehow when you feel you ended up landed the wrong way on your ankle. "OUCH!" you exclaimed as Colby immediately went to go help you

Colby reached down to help you up except you couldn't put pressure on your left ankle.

"Colby I can't walk on it" you said trying to leave the crowd of people

"Here get on" Colby said helping you to get onto his back

He then carried you out of the crowd back to where your friends were sitting on the floor.

"What the hell happened?" one of them asked

"I got pushed and I think I twisted my ankle......thanks for the help Colby"

"No problem, but I have to get back to my hotel before my friends notice that I was even gone today" he said getting up from the blanket

He shook everyone's hands and then gave you a hug goodbye rather than a hand shake. He started to walk away until you felt something on your shirt. It was a crumbled up piece of paper that said:   call me sometime xxx-xxx-xxx  -Colby
