Children show us the best example of how to forgive. Like children we should forgive and forget.
Some people say "I forgive you" but they remember what that person did to upset them. This is merely tolerating their actions and holding a grudge.
If you can't do both, you have no business telling someone you have forgiven them. You are better off waiting until you can forget, instead of lying to them and yourself.
