Government and Crime

I know what some of you are thinking:

" Rey, what the heck do this two topics have in common?"

It's funny you ask!

Government has a history of becoming corrupt. Rome is a great example!

At this point some readers would suggest that their country's government is not corrupt and it is improbable that it ever will be.  

 Some would make an argument as follows:

"Get out of here! We selected our government to serve us!"

My response would be:

 Yes, you may elect the people that run the government offices; however, do you pay attention to what they do? In other words, are the government officials really serving the public or themselves?

There are people who commit crimes, such as robbing, because they feel the government is corrupt and only serves the rich or themselves.
