Chapter 8

Tessa's POV

The entire ride home was awkward silence. I knew he was meeting up with a girl. I wasn't sure why but it felt like I had been punched in the gut. I knew I had to do something. I went home and  took a shower. In the shower I came up with a plan to follow Chance and see what's he's doing. That's it nothing more. Because I'm a good friend, ugh I hate that word.

Chance-"T, I'm leaving and will be back like two thirty."

Tessa-"okay, I might grab lunch somewhere too. But call me if I'm not home when you come back."

Chance-"ok, see ya!"

Tessa- " bye... "

I watched him leave the house and then pulled up the phone tracking app that team 10 uses. He was walking towards my favorite cafe!

*ten minutes later*

I grabbed my phone and wallet, while I ran to the cafe. When I got to the door I saw Chance with another girl. My heart dropped. I tried to come up with excuses but I really thought he liked me . I began to think, why would he meet another girl If he liked me. While turning on my phone I accidentally called Chance just then someone put a hand over my mouth and picked me up from behind. They pulled me into an alley next to the cafe and began to kiss me. The masked figure swiftly ripped my shirt off. I cried out in pain when he threw me on the concrete. My arm began to bleed while he pulled of my pants.

Chances POV

Things with Rachel were going good, but then I got a call from Tessa and ran outside to take it.
All I heard on the other line was screams of pain and fighting. I heard someone yell from the alley. I began to walk back there when I saw Tessa in just her underwear on the concrete in tears. A masked man slowly backedw away before sprinting out.  I rushed to Tessa's side and took off my shirt giving it to her. I helped her get dressed as she winced in pain. I carried her on my back the entire way back to the team ten house and all she did was cry. I called Jake and told him the news. Apparently, him and the entire team ten flew to Florida to surprise Erika! Jake booked a flight back in three days and said all we could do is wait. As I walked. Up to Tessa's room I got a call from Rachel.

(On the phone)

Rachel-"Chance where are you? Are you okay?"

Chance-"yeah I'm fine, I just had to run home and help Tessa with something. "

Rachel-"well Chance, I'm just going to say it I like you still and I want to try again."

Chance-"I don't know I'm just not looking for a relationship."

Rachel-"please"

Chance-"fine, text me when and where"

After saying goodbye I hung up and heard a noise from Tessa's room. I walked in and saw Tessa listing to my conversation through the wall.

Tessa-"another date, really?"

Chance-"yeah look, I have to be honest, I was meeting up with an ex who wants to start things over."

Tessa-"oh, ok. So are you"?

Chance-" I don't know, but how are you right now. Oh my god! Your arm!"
