Chances POV

Today is Tessa's 3rd month being pregnant and we are going to tell her family today! I'm honestly freaking out, I have never met them, but I got their daughter pregnant,... what a fun conversation!

I pored a bowl of cereal and sat down, slowly adding in the milk to get the perfect amount. I returned the Milk to its place in the fridge as Tessa walked down the steps.

Tessa-"Hey babe! Are you excited? Because I'm seriously terrified... "

I wrapped my arms around Tessa's waist and pulled her into a kiss.

Chance-"Yeah, I really cant wait to explain how I got you pregnant after 5 years of dating and they don't know about me..."

Tessa hit me in the chest and wrapped her hands around my neck.

Tessa-"I said I was sorry, but you never even asked to meet them. And besides, sometimes it's a LOT better to keep secrets from my step dad. He can get really mad sometimes."

Chance-"Anyways, ready to go?"

Tessa-"Yup, just let me grab some cereal."

Tessa walked back to the cabinet and make herself cereal while I ate mine. Somehow, we finished at the same time and I placed out bowls in the sink. I know this might sound crazy but today after we tell Tessa's parents, I'm going to try and pull her step dad aside and ask for Tessa's hand in marriage. I know it's really old fashioned, but I feel like it's the least I could do.

The entire car ride to Fresno was overall good, but Tessa kept complaining about how her mom and step dad are. She never really got along with her step dad but made the best of it. Apparently, there names are Laurie and Pag.

I felt so nervous as I pulled the luggage out of the uber. Tessa grabbed my hand and gave me a reassuring look. She opened the door and on the couch sat, who i assumed to be her parents...

Laurie-"TESSA!"

Pag-"Tessa!"

Tessa-"Hi mom hi dad. Umm so this is Chance..."

She half hugged me and I waved.

Chance-"Hi"

Laurie-"Hello Chance! Tessa never brings her boyfriends over! It's so nice to meet you."

Pag shook my hand and Laurie hugged me. We chatted for a bit and never said a word about the baby. We were ready to leave when Mrs. Brooks spoke.

Laurie-"So how long have you two been together."

Tessa-"Almost like, 6 years?"

Chance-"I think so."

Laurie-"Oh wow. Tessa! You should have introduced us sooner!"

Tessa's laughed her signature laugh, and I smiled. But how was we suppose to tell them?!
