Starting Over

Chapter 24

I don't even know what time I woke up today. All I know is that I feel like I have been hit by a truck. My body just hurts all over not to mention the headache I have. What can I expect with all the crying I did last night. I knew I had to tell Harry about Emma at some point but I didn't think I would be in such a state when I did. I know that a small burden has been lifted off my shoulders by talking about her and Harry was so kind and listened to every word I had to say.
I got up and headed to the shower. I needed one to help relax me some and to help me wake up just a little more. Once I was dressed for the day I realized it was already afternoon and we had stuff to do for the concert tomorrow night.

I headed out towards the kitchen area to see if there was anything to eat because I was starving. I found a note on the counter.

Niall,
I had to go to the arena for some rehearsal time and a meeting with management. I ordered you some lunch and put it in the refrigerator. You will have to heat it up I am sure.
Don't worry about missing today. I think you needed some rest and I just said you weren't feeling well. I will be back as soon as possible and we can just hang out in the room tonight. Order up some food and veg out in front of the telly or whatever you want to do.

I stuck the note in my back pocket and headed to then refrigerator. After heating up the food I went to the sitting area and got comfy on the sofa. I was flipping thru the channels until I found a footie match. I ate my food and at some point fell back asleep because the next thing I knew Harry was waking me up.

I managed to get a couple of hours of sleep in before I had to get ready for rehearsal. I decided to go ahead and order Niall some lunch also because he would be hungry when he finally wakes up. Once room service arrived I put Niall's in the refrigerator and quickly ate mine. I was getting ready to head out the door when I decided to write Niall a note because if I sent a text it may wake home up.

The rehearsal and meeting went great. Everyone was asking if Niall was okay but I just said he was feeling a bit under the weather. I also said I would rather him miss a rehearsal then a live show and everyone agreed. Before I knew it I was in the car heading back to the hotel. All day long my phone has been going nuts with Nick texting or calling me that I finally just turned it off. I know that I should answer him but I am not in the mood to talk to him when my mind is on the heartbroken man back in my hotel room.
I walked in and found Niall all snuggled in and sleeping on the sofa with a footie match on the telly. He look so peaceful I really didn't want to wake him up just yet. I decided to go shower and change into something a little more comfy then my skinny jeans.
Once all refreshed and comfy I turned my phone on and sent Nick a text apologizing for not replying sooner and to let him know I was calling it a night early because I was exhausted. I also took a quick picture of Niall before putting my phone on the charger in my room. I then called room service to order up our supper. Not really knowing what Niall wanted I just decided to order a wide variety everything from mac and cheese to pizza and steak and potatoes.
I then went over and gently shook Niall so he would wake up. He started to stir and stretch before he opened his beautiful blue eyes. He looked around and gave me a small smile before he sat up so I could sit beside him. We ate in a comfortable silence while watching a couple movies. We both agreed on some comedies to help lighten Niall's mood. Niall thanked me for listening to him about Emma and for allowing him some alone time today and that was most of the conversation we just snuggled in and watched the movies and we both fell asleep on the sofa.
